Arrrgh, do I have to do this again? Last time I got socially libertarian (about -5 to -6) and economically moderate (perhaps half a point to the left). I would probably be a point or two more right-wing now because I have a mini Liz in my head yelling, "Free markets rock!" every time I click on CNN, but that's about it
Besides, every time I do this it gets harder to avoid the wha-cha-ma-callit effect: the questions are framed pretty transparently and it gets harder and harder to be honest with myself. I'm not sure how reflective the test results are anymore.
It's interesting how this test defines left/right/libertarian/authoritarian compared to the Washington Post's Facebook test: this one defines the qualities based on extremes of one factor (either social or economic attitude), where as the Post's defines them based on extremes of two (both social and economic). Which goes to show how confusing political labels can be.
I have no idea what you're talking about. If you're saying I posted a Political Compass thread, five times no less, can you perhaps link me to even one instance that I did this? I searched and there appears to be two previous similar topics, neither of which I started or even participated in.
Economic Left/Right: -6.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.44
I figured I'd be a little less liberal these days, but apparently not. However, like Rensa, I don't put a lot of stock in these tests.
Also, post graphs dammit, I can't be bothered figuring it out with just the numbers. I need pretty colors and dots.
I took this test a few years ago when my American Government professor suggested we all take it, I don't think I'm any more or less liberal than I was, but I'm a little less Libertarian than back then. Then again, I think they've changed some of the questions, so...
I also think people come up more liberal on these little quizzes than they actually are. I mean, you'd be pretty hard pressed in this day in age to find someone who isn't going to strongly disagree with the idea that people of different races should stick to themselves... Then again, the same upper-middle class white guy that answers as such may never have met a black person...
