Jeff, Virion said the PS controller was the best ever. And despite your lack of interest in the 360, there is no denying that the controller is just about the best ever made, minus the bad D-Pad. It's perfectly set up for shooters and all other types of genres. The concave thumbsticks keep your fingers in place where as the mushroom shaped PS sticks are improperly placed and allow your thumbs to slowly slip off.
Uhh no it's not and Lucas has reasons and mine nearly match too. I've used the thing enough times to realize I don't like it. I don't like the triggers, the buttons aren't comfy(face colors), and I really HATE that painful d-pad on it. I also don't like how the analogs are lined up all lopsided, but that's really a minor issue. You are right about only one thing really being wrong with the PS3, mushroom shaped stick, you can glide off them which sucks (same happened with the n64 stick too but far easier.)

i hate all trigger buttons.. i was upset that the dual shock 3 decided to go with triggers for the R2 and L2 buttons.
i don't have a problem with the analog sticks though.. i love them. i feel they give you the most precise control compared to other controllers and i don't have the issues of thumbs sliding off.

I bet they do and you don't even know it. "Slip" was probably the wrong term, but because of the shape and the smooth texture of the Sony's analog sticks it's natural for your thumbs to slowly lose their "center". I have to reposition my thumbs to often I don't even notice it anymore. But the 360 controller sticks are concave, have a somewhat chalky texture, and little embossed braile-like nubs, all of which contribute to keeping your thumbs in place for the entire experience. Plus they're properly placed for FPSes, unlike the PS controller.
