PH's Temple of the Ocean King had a vague survival horror design; given how integral that temple was to the game, it had a great influence on the atmosphere.
Neeeever even considered that until you said it.
To that end, did the ghost ship have the same effect in Wind Waker? Relatively speaking, it was equally creepy.
Interesting. I just wish I wrangled the controls...
It pains me to think that I won't be playing this because of that. Maybe on the cheap
That has been my attitude. I'm not 100% against giving Phantom another chance, but it'll be in the under $20 after tax range I'd pay for it, closer to $10 preferred so it's not a loss if/when it aggravates me again.
Ugh, if this is disconnected from PH's storyline, plus the "more challenging" comments from Shiggy, I might give this a chance. That trailer makes the story look very intriguing. It will still suffer from the touchscreen no matter what though.
Of course they wont commit, we know how nintendo is especially with headliners like Zelda, it will be released when it is done. I read reggie commented that miyamoto said its tracking for a 2010 release, whether he up-ends the tea table or roadblocks are hit in development to slow it down might push it later though. It's hard to imagine this not being their big holiday 2010 title, but again Nintendo usually doesnt rush AAA projects out the door just to hit a target date.
I also am slightly confused by so much hatred at the stylus based controls, they were fluid and provided me no complication in PH.
They are. Mario is a first quarter game supposedly done now and delayed for Super Mario Bros 6 coming out this month. Metroid as I recall they said was a summer quarter release. They have like a slot for 4 AAA hitter titles out of their coffers for 2010. Mario, Metroid, ?, and Zelda. The ? I suppose could be anything from Pikmin 3 to Sin and Punishment 2, to whatever else they're not talking about.
