I attempted to purchase the Hardened Edition of MW2 approximately 2 months ahead of the release date. This was apparently not enough foresight on my part, cause it was sold out. I pre-ordered the game online, but thanks to Canadian customs, that could take awhile to arrive. So Im using that as plan B. Im going to be lining up at Best Buy at 10:00pm to [hopefully] ENSURE that I get my Hardened Edition pronto, so I can play with Sean, James and the gang on schedule. This all assuming Activision doesnt miraculously turn into not-assholes and send me a review copy.

Am I alone?

Awesome sale (got Killzone 2 and Prince of Persia for $30 together) and not wanting to spend more money on games this month led me to this decision.

Ahh you're fine cubist, you got 2 good games instead of one good game. It's not the end of the world if you don't pre-pay months in advance or stand in line like a tool praying you get a copy of a game that will be readily available for a LONG time coming and played by many for a good stretch too. Have fun with those now, use Christmas dough on this game and get with the friends then on it.

Killzone 2 actually has awesome multiplayer along with a killer campaign, so I dont doubt you'll enjoy it. I think you'll be a little sad when you see everyone on your buddy list playing MW2 instead though

If pre-orders are an indicator... Yes, there will be people on PS3, just at a 1:3 ratio of 360 owners. PC owners will complain for a few weeks more about dedicated servers before they purchase.
