I was thinking about Game boards and a staff section... any other ideas, as well as comments on the two I listed?

Perhaps a seperation of Cube and GBA boards.

I agree on splitting the GameCube/GBA forum.

Other than that, I think it'd be a good idea to make posts in the Word Games forum count :D

It's like that to prevent spam.

People get a large amount of posts in that 'person above you thread' and other word games.

Yeah, but the word games are still posts. Sucks to not get it counted.

I think separate GBA/GCN would be nice, and then a forum for all other current stuff (PC too)

Well its a thread like any other, it just happens to be a game thread...I think our post should still be counted.

Anyway, doesnt matter that much.

Actually, the poll forum is stupid because ther earen't that many polls, and if there are shouldn't they correspond to their proper forum? GameCube polls would go in the GCN forum, off-topic polls would go in General Discussion, Entertainment polls would go there, etc. Now they're all bunched together.

Well, here's my suggestion, so please take it into consideration

I really think that we have all the boards we need. For PC Gaming, that's kinda covered in the "other consoles", and with GBA and Gamecube being developed tightly with eachother now (linkability and the Gameboy Player) I think that board really belongs together (until the amount of new posts gets to a certain point that it's hard to keep up as one board--then splitting it up would be fine)

I just think that there's already alot of boards already (we REALLY don't need game-specific boards) and it'll be hard to keep track of your posts in all the different boards, y'know?

Before you request a new board, REALLY think; how often will you really post a topic about that subject where it won't fit into another board? I think that for the time being, any subject that you want to post will fit into one of the available boards somewhere, and if there's no specific board for it, there will always be a board that is best suited for the topic.

just what i think, eh?

-edit- yes, i also agree that the poll board should go. If there's a poll that has to do with a specific topic from another board, people will most likely overlook it. -/edit-

I was thinking trim down on these categories and consolidate. everything is spread so thin. Have GameCube General Discusson, Gameboy General, Gaming General, and then General. 4 categories would keep everyone closer in touch and make the boards more active even with less people.

Chuck out the latest news forum...that seems dead. IMO, best to keep least amount of sections as possible. Some of us don't have the time to scan all the forums.

That should just be a media in general forum... merge the anime/cartoons forum into it (even make it a subforum).

With as many forums as GCA has now it takes a while to browse them all. Perhaps some consolidation would be nice as it seems as if they aren't very active, but in reality they are.

Edit: Ooops, didn't read the entire thread. I see people have already posted this suggestion.

I agree. The Anime/Cartoons category wil be running a little dry soon i'm guessing so i think it should be merged with the Movies/Music category and be General Entertainment instead. It would be more compact too.;)
