I have noticed a few people here have the corner of their sig and avatar pics "cut at an angle" (sorry I don't know any better way do describe it).

A perfect example would be JustUsOwls signature and avatar.

(edit: Just noticed that the IMG tag code is off, damn)

Now i've got Photoshop, and I know a few basics but how is it done? Can I do it in Photoshop?

Sorry for the stupid question, but the images look fantastic (well JustUsOwls does anyway) like it and I was gonna do the same for my sig.

You can do it in photoshop by having a transparant background on the image I think.

Anyways, like Matt said, you can make the background transparent and save it as a GIF.

I don't do much corner cutting with my designs, but your sig looks pretty good JustUsOwls.

Also another method is to make an image then transfer it onto a blank transparent image of the same size and then erase the bits you don't want.

IMG tags are on, look at the bottom left corner of the page, HTML code is off, but not IMG

Yeah that's how I did my avatar.

If IMG tag is turned off, then how are we to put images in our sigs?

The IMG tag was off when I started this thread.

Someone probably asked Ken to turn it on or something. Now that its on, you'll be able to show us your sig ;)

I'm lame when it comes to actually designing thing. I have a ton of ideas in my head, but it's just getting those ideas and making it to my liking thats the problem.

It's the same with everything.

The pic in the top left of your posts is your Avatar. You can change it by going to your profile then to options.

ICQ is a chat program similar to AIM, it's just not as popular.
