I figure this is a good discussion topic. Which one's you're favorite. Personally, mine's the Intellivision. I spent hours playing Tron on that thing and my dad used to work for the company that made it.

Yeah, I'll agree on that. SNES is my favorite, too. Nintendo's best console, in my opinion.
Hmmm, tough choice. SNES owned so did N64. But I played N64 more so that's what I voted for.

I didnt have that much money back then, so the only source of games were by bd, and Xmas, but then I got a job, and that was when the N64 came out, so I was able to buy more games, and therefor played/enjoyed it more

I grew up playing Donkey Kong on an Atari 2600 so i'd probably have to go with that. It was my first console.
Other than that, the N64 was a great console. It has heaps of games that I really enjoyed and I could sit there and play it all day.
it's hard to tell, the old gameboy was great i remember me playing SuperMarioland.. :D
but when i got the N64 everything changed, it's one of my all time favorite consoles! it had greate games, and even when it "died" games like Conker's BFD, Paper Mario and Perfect Dark came up. ;)

Ohh man I remember the countless hours I stayed up playing Golden Eye 007. They were priceless. *Thinks of that MasterCard ad*

I voted N64, mainly because when i look back on it, the game i remember playing the most last century was goldeneye. The Multiplayer was just so addictive. :)
That and OoT, i lost count of how many times i played it through long ago.

NES I think was the best "classic" system. It had tons of classics that NINTENDO has and has not updated. Like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3, Kid Icarus, Punch Out and much more! It had the zapper and old arcade games. What more can you ask for?!
Your name says what you voted for.
I picked Atari. 2600 was my first real console so it got me into gaming :)

This was hard, from my infant ages to 8, I played NES to death. My dad owned a Video Store , so we have like 70 games. I loved SMB 3, Metroid, and River City Randsom. But I still would have to agree SNES is the best ever. I remember getting for christmas, playing Super Mario World, then we got Zelda.. Omg Nostalgia..... FF3? Chrono Trigger!!! SUPER METROID!!! SNES rules period.
SNES > *, so very easily, mario world 1 and 2, super metroid, chronotrigger, oh i could go on for hours, but i won't because you are all gamers too, and should know of the SNES's greatness ^_^

Tough choice. My GameBoy and Ataris still works to this day perfectly. As does my NES, SNES, and my brothers N64. I would pick 3 if I could:
Atari - Grandpa owned it, played it there, then gave it to me, got me started (oh E.T.,, I still have it :p)
But picking just one, I dunno. You'll have to guess :p.
NES - the first system in our house, bought by my parents, start if video game history (well kinda sorta if ya know what I mean)
SNES - so many many great games and starters of franchises
But to pick just one.... I dunno, you will have to guess.
Super NES was the best... they had the most quality games ever... from Mario titles to Power Rangers to Zelda, their games were actually fun to play. I say Sega Genesis is second because of the great times I had playing Sonic 2,3 and Knuckles...
SNES: Golden Age of Gaming
Super Mario Worlds 1 & 2
Super Mario RPG
Final Fantasy 3
Chrono Trigger
Star Fox
Donkey Kong Countries
Super Metroid
Plus Many More!

I voted for the N64..........although Intellivision is a close second for me, it was my first system when i was really young and I still remember the racing game called Bump ‘N’ Jump which is one of my favorite racing games of all time!

I voted for SNES. Why? Maybe because it owned? That system has more classic RPGs than any system. Some of the best I tell you. I want to go buy one so I can play the likes of FF3, Chrono Trigger, Seceret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, and let's not forget one of the greatest RPGs of all time...EARTHBOUND.
My favorite oldie system wasn't on the list. Turbo Graphix 16 anyone? Que bueno! The Bonk games were MONEY.

NES was my first system--I played it since I could move my hands enough to poke myself in the eyes or pick my nose. The SNES however was that system that completely ruined my life and made me the retard I am today. Thank you Super Nintendo Entertainment System! :):):):(

I also started off on a NES... but the Sneeze was the one that that I loved the most.
So much so that after Chrimbo, I'm popping to my local 2nd hand electronics store and putting in a request for a good quality boxed one. He get's 'em all the time :D
I wanna play Unirally again - that game was so cool!

My favorite game of all time is Space Harrier. So I voted for the Sega Master System. Problem is I played Space Harrier II on Genesis more than any other game, so can I change my vote? :)
My second fav is SuperNES... Rock and Roll racing, the Mega Man games, Secret of Mana, wow... Can I change my vote again? ;)

The NES. TMNT ruined so many nights of sleep, but it was all worth it. Also Mario, not a 2-player game, but mine and my brother's "style" (we'd compete on who played the game better)competition really brought us together.

my fave's the good ole genesis. it outplayed the snes up until its later days, and to this day i still have a blast playing vectorman. i wish that sega would make an update of that game.
the 64 was my least favorite of all of those. big, clunky, and packed with crap.
Hey, it did have some good games. Just not enough.

I liked the 64 the most, the jumped from 2 player gaming to 4 was great only there were not enough games and only 1 mario.
Perfect Dark, best fps ever.

I never played on the Snes but Ive played it sgames on th GBA and on the Computre. the best console th world ever known :) but I voted for the N64 becuase I layed in its games foir long long time .. Zelda....mmmm... Banjo,Conker, and more goodies
Chrono Break

Ah yes, Vectorman, I loved that game as well Boondock.
I would have voted for the Playstation, but I do not consider that a classic system really, because all of the games moved on up to the PS2. So I voted for the SNES. The game that I have spent the most time playing (out of the old systems, I know for sure my PS2 has a lot more hours than any of my other systems). It has some of my favorite all time games on it. A Link to the Past, Illusion of Gaia, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Star Wars, Chrono Trigger (also on PS), and many others. Gotta love the SNES.

yeah, vectorman rocked. as stated before, i wish sega would make a new one and put it out on all the systems so people could see how much it really, really rocked.
i'm sorry to say that i didn't own an snes, but went with the genesis, and looking back, i'm glad i did. i played so many great games that sega made, even while nintendo was still basking the glow of the too-hyped mario world titles. yeah...ecco was a blast, as were the sonic games (all of them to this day have been great).
you ninty fanboys really missed out on some things if you never played the genesis, and i still played all the coolest snes games, because everyone else had that system.

I was always a SNES fanboy back in the days, and when I look back to the Genesis It really did have stellar titles. But I just don't think it was as good as Genesis enthuisists made it out to be.
Maybe if I owned both the Genesis and SNES simutaneously I would have more feelings for the genesis. The only thing Genesis had that was good IMO was more exclusive fighting games, as well as some great other genre exclusives. I didn't care for Ecco or Vectorman when I played them when they came out. (My cousins had them, and I played them at Funcoland)
I know its the funfactor that makes the game, but I just can't believe that my old 4th grade buddies actually thought any arcade title that was multi-console was superior on the Genesis. I've played many Genesis versions of my favorite fighters that were on SNES too, and I laugh at the crappy sound and poo poo graphics.... lol
But there's one thing SNES didn't have Streets of Rage! Omg and Splatterhouse!
Genesis still isn't better though.. :P
I don't think I need to exlpain why the SNES excels, i mean aside from the slower processor, it did have superior graphics and a Sony SPC sound card. Plus SMW(Not overhyped)SMW2(Not overhyped), Lttp, Super Metroid, FF2(4j),FF3(6j), Chrono Trigger, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, SMRPG, a superior but not arcade perfect MK2, a more than 2 level MK3, DKC 1,2&3, SUPER GAMEBOY!. Kirby Super Star, Secret of Mana, Secret of evermore, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Super Mario All Stars, Mario Kart, Earthbound, Starfox, F-Zero, Killer Instinct, Mega Man X 1, 2, and 3!! Is there something I'm missing?

It is a very close call between the NES, and the SNES.
Although I did use my Original Gameboy alot.
