Game Music Purchases

While I'm in Japan I'm thinking of buying a few game OSTs. I have about six that I want, but can really only afford two or three. Here're the ones I'm considering.

Final Fantasy X, Original Soundtrack
Final Fantasy VI, Original Sound Version
Chrono Trigger, Original Sound Version
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Original Soundtrack (Japan)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Original Soundtrack

I'm bending towards FFX, MM and possibly OoT or FFVI if I can afford it. What do you think? Any other suggesitons? I've already picked up an Evangelion: Death one second-hand for 480 yen, it was okay (mostly classical, not really my thing tho...).

of course, if you really want some awesome music, i'm a big fan of FFIX...but i'd pick VI over it any day...

I would definitely go for Final Fantasy VI over X. But I would suggest getting Chrono Trigger. I have all those soundtracks (except the full Final Fantasy X version) and I really enjoy them all. But I would say Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI are by far some of the greatest musical pieces you could listen to. And if you can find Chrono Trigger, bravo. It is a little harder to find than the Final Fantasy VI soundtrack.

Hmm, so many great soundtracks! Crono Trigger's 3 CDs, isn't it? FFX and FFVI are 2CDs... I might drop OoT - it's got great music, but apparently it only has 1 CD, and thus the tracks only loop once, has parts taken out, etc.

Majora's Mask I really, really want - it's got some of my fave music. Also, I was thinking of adding SA2 to my list - half becaue I like it and half because JustUsOwls hates it, LOL.

Guess the rellies can forget souveniers, huh? Maybe I'll order some of them online when I get back, there's too many good ones to get with the money I have :'(

Nah, that's okay - I've seen it at a few places, but I really want to actually buy it, rather than just have an online copy.

Thats tough! they're all good. if i had to pick 2 i'd go with Ocarina of Time and Chrono Trigger

The only one I really own is Capcom vs. SNK 2 I got in Chinatown. Not very good.....

I've burned lots though, Resident Evil Zero, Onimusha, Eternal Darkness....I've been trying to get the Wind Waker soundtrack, but it's awfully hard to find all 100+ tracks on Kazaa...

Final Fantasy X has four CDs, not 2. And Final Fantasy VI has 3 CDs, not 2 also. At least you got the Chrono Trigger and Ocarina of Time CDs right. And if you want Majora's Mask, that is 2 CDs as well. Just to clerify things for you.

I suggest getting The Wind Waker soundtrack. I bought it for like..20.00 and it was totally worth it. It's 2 CDs with like...50 or so songs on each. Great music!
