I have to agree. It's my most anticipated game for the holidays. Mario Kart: Double Dash might tie it since I haven't gotten it yet.

Well, now that I got MK: DD, yeah, this is my most anticipated game. The last trailer got me really hyped for this game.

I'm not really intersted in snow-boarding games, mainly because I don't enjoy Tony Hawk games, or any of those extreme sports games. I've tried them out, but I just don't enjoy them very much.

The new 1080 trailer cools very cool. I just hope its good. IGN have been saying how dull it is. Let's hope they change it a bit. But, they said the same thing about MK before it was released. So, I bet it will be a very good game. It should be atleast, Nintendo cant let down on high profile games. 1080 in my opinion is one.

1080 Look awesome! It is now my most anticipated since Mario Kart is out. BTW can a you really ride down the mountain with an avalance following you. And if u go to slow will it kill u lol :)

They ARE putting avalanches in the game, in cluding breaking bridges to pieces, and dodging a train in one level, and triggerering your own avalanches

Thepreview on ign gives great info on the game. I reserved 1080 today! I also get all the signs at Gamestop for free before they throw them away! Anyways, 1080 will be as good as 1080, according to ign.

To Nickthegamer. Dude, no matter which one you pick, both are totally dope! But, I like my nintendo games, with an only for on em, thats why i prefer 1080, plus, its way more realistic than ssx 3, but ssx is a great game to. 1080 might not get the scores that ssx got, but at least itll feel unique and real!

w00w00, i can't wait for 1080, i loved the n64 iteration to (my control stick's) death, it was fabulous! and i can't wait to try Akari Hyumi out in full GCN power... i mean... 1080 out... and such...*ahem*

also with the addition of LAN play, that will be great for multiplayer get togeathers (obviously) and possibly even greater if they can work all the bugs out of WPP or Kai, ah yes, good times on the horizon, shame 1080 has been delayed till early 2004 here (Australia)

hmmm i bet if i had played this game back in the N64 days, i'd probly want the cube sequal.

But honestly the only snowboarding game that ive played and really liked was snowboard kids. :D

I tried out the demo that was on the kiosk disc in stores last month. Granted that was a very old build also, but the play mechanics were all there. The balance thing with the control stick works really well in getting the heightened experience. I was able to pull off a few moves, but wasn't really trying to. I was more concerned about winning the race. So with fine tuning of the controls, and much updated graphics, this looks to be one fine snowboarding game. Unfortunately, I have to wait till Christmas to own it. But that doesn't stop the Blockbuster rentals :).

I played it at a Nintendo press conference not to long ago. I love the game, as I was a huge fan of the 64 version. I do feel the look could have been much better (amp 2 was amazing looking)...

I just went to Wal-Mart and they had a brand new demo of 1080 Avalanche on display, so I played it and the graphics and control were slightly improved. It also felt very realistic! Go to your Wal-Mart, they might have the new demo up!
