Eddie Murphy's in it... so it shouldn't be ALL that bad... but it's based on a theme park attraction, which seems kind of lame.

I liked it a lot too, but it wasn't half as good as "Pirates of the Carribean." You appreciate it more if you've ridden the ride before, even more if you've ridden it A LOT. It was kind of corny, but the only part that bothered me was when the son needed to open the cript to let out his father and sister. For one shot, and one shot only, both statues had a torch even after Eddie had taken one of them to enter the tomb. I mean that's just shitty, plain shitty.

I loved that movie. Except for the part when the two statues were holding the torches. BAH! But yes, it was not nearly as good as POTC, which I loved so much I got only an eyepatch for a halloween costume.

At Yahoo! Haunted Mansion got a C average rating from the critues and a B average from the readers. My sister wants to see that movie so bad cause she liked the movie Daddy Day Care (was an okay movie)... I don't think its going to be all that great since its a Disney movie...only the Lion King and Alladin are Disney classics....

I AGREE 100% WITH CODE MATRIX!!! Finally someone else feels the same way! Movies based on novels, comics, or TV shows make sense, but when they start basing movies on rides instead of the other way around, it's a sign that they've simply run out of ideas. My hopes are high for the summer of 2006 for the blockbuster in the making: The Tea Cups!

what? disney classics? i think the lion king's overrated, and let's not forget that 'beauty and the beast' is possibly the best animated film ever made...it's the only one to be nominated for best picture at the oscars...

and not to mention snow white, sleeping beauty, and all the other classics disney gave us. if you didn't like those movies, and still don't, then you're a complete moron. although, i think you've proven the moron thing with all of your previous posts. this one included.

I thought The Haunted Mansion was great. It was one of the first great family movies I had seen in a long time.

This is an ignorant statement, but honestly I think the Haunted Mansion looks terrible. It really may be quite good, but I don't know how you could watch the preview and say to yourself, "damn, that looks like a good movie."
