Best. Show. Evar.
IMO of course. I don't care if it's almost the same thing as the Simpsons, I think it rocks. I know for a fact that someone will bring Futurama up. Well, I don't think Futurama has anything on Family Guy....but that is my opinion.
Any other FG lovers out there?

Of course, I actually like Family Guy more than The Simpsons.
Family Guy actually seemed to get more popular since they put it on Adult Swim.

I love both Futurama and Family Guy (which is why I stay up until midnight every night). Last night's episode of Family Guy was disgusting though... where Peter and Lois decide to have another baby, and Stewie doesn't like it, and he goes inside Peter and attacks all his sperm... it was probably my least favorite episode.

Family Guy is awesome, i watch it every chance i get on adult swim.
Since Adult Swim managed to get the creator of FG to make a commercial for the banned "When You Wish upon a Weinstein" episode, ive been hopeing that cartoon network could work something out to get some new episodes made.

I'd like to see new Family Guy episodes.
And Matt Groening is supposedly working on new episodes of Futurama, but it hasn't been revealed what network it'll be on... PLEASE CARTOON NETWORK!

Sorry, that didnt have anything to do with Family Guy :(

Alright I absolutely love Family Guy (Hint! Evil Monkey Avatar Hint!), im obsessed with it really, I watch at least one episode a day and I think it is without a doubt better then The Simpsons (No Disrespect to The Simpsons though, very funny)
I always dream about the day that Family Guy will be back on the air and there is a possibility its coming back in 2005 with 35 new episodes! It's not official yet though.

Futarama was funny, but not near as funny as The Simpsons or Family Guy.
At least, it's still way funnier than King of the Hill. Mike Judge WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

Actually I believe Futurama to be much funnier than the Simpsons. Especially as of late, they are seriously running out of things to do on the Simpsons. It's just been on the air so long, which is a GREAT thing. I've enjoyed many sundays watching the Simpsons but a show can only go on for so long before it becomes stale.
If I had to rate these three shows it would be Family Guy, Futurama, then the Simpsons. Just my personal opinion though.

The reason Family Guy was so funny was becuz everything was random. I especially like that one episode where he fights the guy in the chicken suit for like 5 minutes over the expired coupon. AWESOME!!

Last night's episode was really funny... the one where Peter invites his boss over for dinner, he gives Peter a promotion, and then he chokes on something and dies. So then Peter joins the Renaissance Faire... the crazy lady that kept popping in was hilarious :D

I like Family Guy but I don't think it will hold up like the Simpsons will. Too bad it got the shaft by Fox when it was around initially; it seemed as if they moved its time schedule every other week. Fox does that to a lot of its shows, unfortunately.

Fox is very unorganized... one of the worst network TV channels. The best shows, the worst organization.
What happened last night? All I can remember was the guy in the wheelchair... I fell asleep before I could watch it.

I like that episode as well, especially the part where they are all lined up and the girl with the big boobs walks by. You hear a "ting" in everyone's armor, except the nerdy guy, who proceeds to make his own "ting" sound. FUNNY STUFF.

Family Guy was and is the best cartoon ever made. I quote Family Guy at least once a day and everyone laughs almost until they crap themsevles. I bought all 3 seasons of Family Guy simply because of how brillantly done it was. The best way to describe how good it is, is if South Park and Simpsons was mixed but with intelligence.
I think there were a lot of reasons it was originally cancelled. One that I heard from my even-more-Family Guy-fanatic friend was that it was so raunchy that they cancelled it-and that is why the last few episodes just got even more offesnive because they knew it was the end of the series.
Another one, which seems more likely is, stupid people thought Family Guy was nothing more than a Simpsons rip off, and of course the weird schedule. A reason they started reconcidering brinigng it back though is because the DVDs are so popular they out sell Simpson's DVDs.
I am VERY VERY happy to hear it will be coming back though. Another fun fact Seth McFarlane didnt start off with Family Guy, in fact he did his own projects before it that I am pretty sure he completely did himself. One of them I used to watch on Cartoon Network I forget the name but one character sounded like Peter, had a big nose, and the other was (you guessed it) a dog and sounded like Brian. Of course Seth does the voices for both, I am thinking this is the alpha of Family Guy.
To quote my favorite line on a Family Guy episode (I laughed so hard I started crying, and gasping for air) "Puh do you have to ask? The chick with the 3 boobs from Total Recall."-- Peter referring to who he would do if he wasnt' married.

I heard this news last week, it's great. 35 episodes is like the other 3 seasons compined. I'm mad it's going to be on Fox, because those are the dummies that changed the time so many times that no one knew when it was on. It was the same problem with Futurama, a great show, and a better show. They both get better ratings at late night in reruns than prime time with Fox, it's sad. the only reason why they brought it back was DVD sales, so go buy some Fururama DVDs.

I think it was called "Mike and Steve".. or something similar. I know what you're talking about cos I've seen it on Cartoon Network (Europe)'s show "What A Cartoon" where they showcased new one-off cartoons that usually end up with their own series' (Dexters Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Etc). It involved them going out to buy a new bed... with hilarious consequence. The guy's the only one who understands what the dog is saying.
I've started a new thread on Futurama because of something I heard on the Season 4 DVD... check it out.

Last night's episode was HILARIOUS. It was the one where Brian loses his doggy-virginity to Lois's parents' dog... then, the dog was pregnant, and when the puppies were born, they had human heads, meaning it wasn't Brian that got her pregnant.

Yeah, I saw that too, the guy put a high power bulb in a lamp and it turned into a lazer and the lazer caused a plane to crash that was being piloted by the pilots son. Hahaha, man, that guy is so crazy.

I classify Family Guy as a "WTF?" show. But I mean it in a good way. It is total random and has so many cameos. Scooby Doo's murder mysteries, Optimus Prime being jewish and Peter fighting a chicken for 5 minutes over a bad coupon. Reminds of another of my favorite shows call "The Crittc". The younger crowd probably doesn't remember it but it was a cartoon that did movie spoofs like Dennis the menace II society. I'm glad to hear Family guy will have new episodes so I can continue to enjoy its randomness.

I love this show. Great news bout' the 30+ new episodes coming to FOX, I just can't wait that long! I also think it's better than the Simpsons, it's absolutely brilliant and it's also very random (as rpguidry mentioned). Sometimes someone (usually Peter or Stewie) will say something out of nowhere and just make u crack up so hard you might die! Also, that episode where Stewie goes into Peter's body to fight the sperm is hilarious. It's probably my fav episode and I especially loved the end. The episode where Brian loses his virginity to Sebrees (another dog) was also one of my favorites.

I saw the episode the other day where Peter buys the Volcano Insurance, and decides to find a Jew to give financial advice... and then in some odd, twisted way, Peter decides to turn Chris to Judaism so he can get better grades... the way they made fun of LifetimeŽ and other things was hilarious... great episode.
They didn't screen that episode in New Zealand, I wish they did it sounds as funny as hell.

Yeah, that episode only aired on tv a few times due to what the writters of the show consider "too strong for tv", but I have the Family Guy DVD set - Vol. 2, and it has that episode as a bonus never beofre seen show, but now it is airing on tv sometimes.

I hate FOX, mostly cause of cancelling Family Guy, then deciding to bring it back. I love Futurama as much as Family Guy, and plan on getting a lot of DVD's from those two franchises.
funny family guy moment: Remember when they had to go to the TV show ( i think this is the episode) and Peter doesnt want to go. Then Meg says "We cant leave dad home alone. The last time we did he turned the house into a puppet." Then it shows Peter controlling the house's roof like a mouth. "Hey, Im the Griffins House. Dont try and come in me. Feed me a tool shed!" I crapped my pants when that happened.

Man, Fox is crazy so many shows come on for like three episodes and do real good. Then Fox trashes them for no reason. Others stay longer but just about every show gets cut (anyone remember Andy Richter controls the universe, man that show rocked. After, I think two seasons it just never came back).

Andy and Greg never had a chance...I knew Fox would cancel them before they found thier groove. Don't get me wrong I loved both shows Ecspecially Andy's...but they had way more potential that they haven't even had a chance to tap into yet.
Family Guy is coming back January of '05 for those who haven't read it yet in this thread (if it was posted) 35 new episodes as a matter of fact. So that would be the second COMPLETE season for Family Guy.
WARNING RUMOR RUMOR!!! ------> Supposedly Family Guy was Fox's 3rd best TV show of all time for them (by the stats that is) first being Simpsons and second being Married with Children. There was supposedly an exec with Fox that hated Family Guy so much that he had it pulled from the air originally. <--------END OF RUMOR!!!
Fox always blamed the ratings for cancelling the show to begin with.

my favorite family guy episode is when the family has to move south and peter goes, "isn't that the place where all the white people hate the black people for being lazy, but they're just as lazy?"
since i live in the south, i find a LOT of truth in that statement...but since i'm white, i realize he misstated when he said all of us...
but that always makes me laugh so much...:)
