GI Magizine is known for its exculsive coverage of hot games. Lets just hope their Paper Mario 2 : The Thousand Year Door score is their OWN exculsive score.

PM2 has been hyped by many media outlets and has been hyped and chattered about by fans of all ages for months and days. PM2 is the sequel to the hit PM on the N64.

But, who really cares...GI is know for their biased reviews anyway. :P
Lets just hope our friend GCA , IGN and Gamespot view this game differenty than GI.

More as it breaks

WOW!!! 6.75!! Geez, they must be biased or the reviewer must have been stoned. Every review I've read has been giving it 9+. It has an average of 9.1 at GameStats, so GI must be really screwed up...

GI's reviews are a mixed bag. They're definently one odd lot of a gaming publication.... but they sure do seem able to get exclusive previews of totally kick *** games way before anyone else does now days.

Thats true about GI. Especially with the Tony Hawks series they gave them all really really good scores. Oh well it won't stop me from buying it.

No matter what other people give it, I think we (GCA) should at least give it an 8.

Don't you think scoring it "at least" an 8 is just a little bit biased considering you haven't even played the game yet?

Man, that's bull...er...crap. I'm sick and tired of biased-out reviews. I'm sorry, but based on the demo I've played, even if that were the whole game, and the rest of the time you had to stare at a bunny with a pancake on its head, it'd still get a 7.;)

GMR gave it a 9 I believe they said it is awsome. GI's reviews aren't reliable.

Yeah, you can count on GMR for giving fair reviews. I haven't read one of their where they have screwed up. GMR even gave it it's essential choice award-that's something.

Reviews mean hardly anything. If you really want a game than you go out and buy it. If you are skeptical about it than you rent it. Just because one person might like a game doesen't mean someone else will like the game. And also GI has said that they really didn't like the first paper mario game so not liking the sequel is not that big of a surprise.

No offense, but you people talk like you played the game already. Let reviews be reviews.. they're only opinions. If you're so disappointed over it, then just wait until you're favorite sites release the reviews. Again, no offense ;x

LMAO, So true. I'm sure that the person at GI that reviewed it isn't going to actually make the game bad. I have no doubts that GCA will do a good job though. Plus who buys GI anyways? :D

meh, i stopped trusting magazines awhile back (now i only trust GCA)
EGM used to be my favorite, then two of their reviewers gave Fzero GX (i think) sevens, because it was too hard for them. wussburgers.

So playing the demo justifies it for you? Wow.. get this straight people. Just because it has "Mario" attached to the name doesn't AUTOMATICALLY make it a good game. C'mon now, you guys are acting like casual gamers going into a gamestore seeing "Sony" attached to a device and then buying it immediately.

My point is, don't be so blind. Nothing more, nothing less. Once again, no hard feelings please.

I agree with you Gus. Most mages are full of multiplatform rubbish. Never reliable. I use to live by scores but now I go on instinct.:) Plus they cost too much when the net is so cheap and is such a resource.

I still think its strange that they are the only ones who give it such a low score...either they a super mainstream ( lets not start that again) or just completely nuts......

Either way i'll buy it....

Funny how EA make the same games every years and they give it a high score all the damn time, yet when N make a sequel they give it a avarge or below score? IGN can suck it.

So playing the demo justifies it for you? Wow.. get this straight people. You're the one who said he hasn't played the game yet, but the demo IS the game, even if it's only a portion.

IGN gave it a good score, so I assume you mean GI, Gamebit?

Here is the core of the Game Informer statement, made by Jeremy Zoss: “Lisa and I both knew that our Paper Mario scores were going to cause controversy. Yes, we know that many people out there will love it. We also know that it is a well-made game. However, it also will not appeal to many people - I would safely say that more people will dislike it than like it. Why? Like we said in the review, it's a very kiddie game - its target audience is clearly young gamers - I would say 10 and under. For that reason, we had to score it low. Remember, we aren't scoring games strictly on our personal opinions, we're also scoring them based on how much we think the gaming public will like them.”

I'd fire anyone like that.
