what do you think the industry would be like if Nintendo actually did everything "right"? What if the N64 played disks? what if the 'cube was online? what if connectivity was never proposed?

Connectivity was never wrong, people just took their anger out on it because of the lack of online.

N64 was better off with carts, I like the loading times. If you wanted RPGs go SNES. The only wrong thing they did is the memory cards & advertising. Plus they didn't give me money.

allow me to clearify. i didnt necessarily mean that anything that Nintendo has done was "wrong", but what if Nintendo had done everything that critics and fans say they should have done?

oh, they wouldn't be Nintendo, they would be Playstation. Simple as that.

This is probably the truest statement I have EVER read.
Also Nintendo has done nothing "WRONG" just unpopular. I have liked EVERYTHING Nintendo has done...even though I agree they could have done things better.

I would like online play, but it's something I can live without. I agree with some of you guys, Nintendo is doing just fine, and the future is looking great with stuff like the DS and the new Zelda. Plus I think innovation is really shining right now, look at the DS, the new Microphone for the cube, and the DK bongos. Everyone thought Donkey Konga would be the only game to use the Bongos, but Nintendo makes two more games to utilize them and both were hits at E3.
