In this topic, I would like to discuss what makes the Nintendo DS a system that stands out from the others. Nintendo has long been known to have said that they wish to have the DS and GBA co-exist side by side, but what makes DS stand out as a new breed of hardware that will possibly create a new market to stand on.
I've often wondered if it was possible to hold both a stylus, a DS, and cooperatively work with the two screens while standing in a busy line waiting to pick up your check or something. It's come to my attention that the DS was playable on stands at E3. It wasn't neccessary to actually hold and carry around the DS while playing it at the event. This would probably lead to a setting in which we are playing our lovely DS's on a table top or desk. Negating all the WiFi and Wireless Lan talk, I believe the touchscreen could alone very well change some of the way's we've come to play video games. I'd like to here some of your thoughts on this matter.
