- Last month, GameCube Advanced broke the news on an underground movement led by Chad Paulson to get LAN enabled Nintendo titles playing online.
Thats pretty neat

Almost as cool as how N-Philes and Nintendo Insider got quoted from their reviews in an ad for GO GO Hypergrind in Nintendo Power.

Yup. Nintendo Insider got quoted and the guy that wrote that article is a former GCA Staffer(Kenny B). The IGN quote is by a former GCA staffer as well(Mary Jane). ;)

But yeah, it's cool that NI got quoted in a few magazine ads.

Are you implying that Nintendo Power the one and only Nintendo source for news magazine is childish, uncool, kiddie?

I think the battle mode and the speed of it and the course design in my opinion just made it a bit lower... (battle mode by the way)

yeah well. the battle mode, i gotta agree, is not that great. but the main game !! the tracks are crazy and i love it. but im not trying to start a big war here dude..im just saying...if you give 9's to 4 skatebording games that are the same why giving lower score to other games that looked like the other in the series (i.e. mario kart).

Yellow red grren and blue and you know what stage im talkng about...and we had to take one color...and then you had to protect you platforms and people had to come in your "castle " loll anyway sorry if you dont understand but the n64 battle mode was great. lts play online together one day with the pipe thng

Nintendo Insider is getting a lot of good publicity in magazines lately... the webmaster had a letter in the last issue of GMR, and now they're getting quoted in ads too.

Argh, I posted this in GCN Discussion but didn't notice the existing thread. Ahh well. :D
Who cares if it was MJ who did the quote? Nobody will recognise the bias (not that there is any... *runs*). It doesn't matter, GCA got mentioned by IGN! Huzzah!

Yeah... getting mentioned on IGN Cube is nice.... but it really isnt that big of a deal. They are a great place... but GCA is getting close to the size of IGN Cube (not IGN as a whole).
Getting mentioned on Gamespot though is pretty darn big deal. Not to mention that GCA has been on gamespot 3 times in past month.
As for Nintendo Insider and Philes getting quoted on a ad, that is really sweet...that is one of the things I want to happen to GCA soon. I think it will happen soon ... plus more. Fingers crossed.

Yup, that's what I thought. Gamestop is usually very careful with the people they quote (which hardly happens, by the way) so that's a pretty big deal.
MJ did the pieces where GCA gets mentioned in IGN Cube, so I knew we were getting quoted.
And I already mentioned that two of the quotes from NI and IGN (Go Go Hypergrind) are done by former GCA staffers.
I'm working my ass off to provide a cool quote for Mary Kate and Ashley's next triple-A adventure. Wish me luck.

Not at all. Gamespot is way bigger than IGN (And more proffessional in my opinion) excluding IGN Cube, which are harsh now.
The IGN Xbox Editors are the biggest morons and biased writters I have ever seen.

Oh I didn't know. But i only go on sites for media and forums. I dont need reviews to buy games.

In terms of hits, Gamespot is much bigger than IGN. Last time I checked, Gamespot had an Alexa rating of about 250, and IGn 450. But then, ALexa isn't very reliable - doesn't it use a toolbar to track its stats?
Hm, I remember Miguel boasting about six months ago that he'd talked with Dennis Dyack over email... I hope this wasn't true, or I'll hang him on a cross and perform satanic rituals on his rotting corpse as punishment for not introducing us.
Wahhh... did someone say videogame violence?:p

I still talk to him via email. That dastardly baffoon. He never tells me anything about Too Human. :(
