Good evening / morning / afternoon to everyone, wherever you may be. I am pleased to announce that AnimeAdvanced.com is now hiring!

Positions are available for the following groups:

News Team - The News Team is responsible for updating the site on any and all factual newsworthy related material. This position requires a lot of work. Serious applications only. You will be expected to be online at least 2 hours a day and be able to update the site regularly with any anime industry and related news stories. Good writing skills are a must. You must also have AOL® Instant Messenger™. This will be used to stay in contact with other members of the News Team.

Review / Preview Team - The Review / Preview Team is responsible for reviewing or previewing anime DVD releases (be it Region 1 or other) and manga releases. This is ideal for someone with a big anime collection or someone who has access to/puchases/obtains a lot of anime DVD releases. On occasion, Anime Advanced will provide you with material for review (these may or may not include: DVD, Manga, CD, ect.) Anime Advanced will ONLY review official release DVD's and Manga (in case of DVD releases, be it whatever region the disc is). In no way will Anime Advanced review "bootleg" or "fraudulent" anime DVD / Manga. We respect the anime studios' properties, in addition, it is the law.

Interview Team - This team will be responsible for setting up any possible interviews (online or in person) with various production studios, voice actors/actresses, industry people, ect. If you are "in the know" and have PR contacts in the industry, then this position is for you.

Forum Moderators - Have experience in moderating an online forum? Well, then this job is right up your alley. Put your skills to work in moderating the AnimeAdvanced.com forums! Anyone with forum moderator experience is welcome to apply.

Editorial Team - The editorial team is responsible for, yes you guessed it, editorials. If you have experience in writing editorials, then we have a position for you. Good writing skills are not only very important, they are a MUST. You must be able to write in a professional and unbiased manner, have the correct mindset to have your work critiqued by other members of your team, ect. The editorialist is an important role of a site. As well as providing interesting reads and discussions on the industry, editorialists can write specials, voice opinions, ect. Definately not for the weak of heart.

If you feel that any of these positions are right for you, please send an e-mail to: vinny@animeadvanced.com.

We make an effort to answer ALL e-mails sent our way but sometimes an e-mail falls through the cracks or we're just really busy. If you don't get a reply to your first e-mail, by all means, resend the e-mail to us a second time. We do ask that you give us ample time to respond to your e-mails (2-3 days) before re-sending another to us.

*Please include your personal contact information (name, location, age, online contact information [e-mail, AIM name, ect.]) and any samples of your work, if possible. References are a plus but not necessary. Only serious applications will be considered. Incomplete applications will be discarded. Applying for a position with Anime Advanced does not guarantee employment. Anime Advanced is maintained by fans, for fans. We all do this because we love anime. We don't get paid but that's not why we're here. We're here because we enjoy doing it and we enjoy the benefits of it. Thank you very much for considering a position with www.animeadvanced.com

I wish i could apply for the editorial team.. but my writing skills and my anime knowledge compared to yours is a joke.

You don't need to be a god / goddess of anime knowledge to write for AA. Just have the basics down and you can always learn more.

As for writing skills, you never know until you try!

Try submitting something to him, maybe you are good nuff. The more staff the site has when it goes live, the better it will be.

Well, I like anime and all, but I'm not into it enough to DO something for it. Sorry. Oh yeah, and what's up with that Hitman's List thing? --~

What about The Hitman's List? If you're wondering if I'll still be doing that, then yes, I do plan to keep doing it, if the higher-ups at AMN let me.

Dude, Hitman, higher-ups, initials, you sound like a real mysterious guy.

I was just wondering though, anything about it you can tell MA! (damn Lee speak)
Like, how many have there been, can I call in live like I was promised, why are you a hitman? Stuff like that. --~

Well, you can say that. In person I keep to myself and I appear and disappear at random. At E3, I'd come and go as I pleased. I think the staff only saw me something like 5 times. I did stick around for the party though, and I even sang, which will be edited out of the DVD if said DVD editor values his life.

There really hasn't been a "live" Hitman's List yet. I'm still working out the show and how it'll go and stuff. It will probably be a live webfeed from an undisclosed location somewhere on the east coast. Yeah you can call in live and such but like I said, nothing's been ironed out yet. I'm going to talk to the boss about it this weekend so we'll see what happens. I am very busy with Anime Advanced so the list may be a good way I can stay active with GCA. They all a buncha good guys over there, like family, so yeah, I gotta protect them.

They call me the Hitman for various reasons and the various things I do. I really can't say much for fear that I'll end up dead... at the bottom of a river somewhere... and I've got a family to look out for so, ya know, I keep on the down low. It has a lot to do with my methods and how I acheive my goals and such but that's all I'm willin' to say at this time.

I'll definately let you know about any future developments of the list. Hopefully it can become a regular thing on GCA.

I don't buy anime/manga that much (I would if i had more funds), but the editorial team sounds interesting. But to write anime editorials you have to be anime smart...and I am teh uber noob.

Yea gcist, I thought the same thing.. I would join the editorial team, but my anime knowledge is mediocre.

Hehe, yeah we should.. but I have a feeling he'll accept us outta desperation (no offense Vinny lol) because I'm assuming there's not too many people applying for the jobs. And thus, we being noobs, will bring toward a noob image.

Besides, I'm not confident about my writing skills.

Maybe I'm being a total bit*h? I don't know.. eh lol

Bloody hell, I hate 'net kiosks! 20min my a$$! Anyway, keep a spot for the editorialists open for me. Once I get some internet at homebase, I'll be able to commit plenty of time to your cause. I'll be fine in about a month, since I'm moving sometime then (I hope). I've been away from the forums for awhile, but a few of you ppls probably recognize me. I 'may' be back periodicaly, not sure when though. If anything, I'll definitely be able to review Nausicaa when the dvd ships at the end of August. Ja ne! --~

Note: - As for a 'nub image', I'll set you ppls straight. ;)
