Good evening / morning / afternoon to everyone, wherever you may be. I am pleased to announce that AnimeAdvanced.com is now hiring!
Positions are available for the following groups:
News Team - The News Team is responsible for updating the site on any and all factual newsworthy related material. This position requires a lot of work. Serious applications only. You will be expected to be online at least 2 hours a day and be able to update the site regularly with any anime industry and related news stories. Good writing skills are a must. You must also have AOL® Instant Messenger™. This will be used to stay in contact with other members of the News Team.
Review / Preview Team - The Review / Preview Team is responsible for reviewing or previewing anime DVD releases (be it Region 1 or other) and manga releases. This is ideal for someone with a big anime collection or someone who has access to/puchases/obtains a lot of anime DVD releases. On occasion, Anime Advanced will provide you with material for review (these may or may not include: DVD, Manga, CD, ect.) Anime Advanced will ONLY review official release DVD's and Manga (in case of DVD releases, be it whatever region the disc is). In no way will Anime Advanced review "bootleg" or "fraudulent" anime DVD / Manga. We respect the anime studios' properties, in addition, it is the law.
Interview Team - This team will be responsible for setting up any possible interviews (online or in person) with various production studios, voice actors/actresses, industry people, ect. If you are "in the know" and have PR contacts in the industry, then this position is for you.
Forum Moderators - Have experience in moderating an online forum? Well, then this job is right up your alley. Put your skills to work in moderating the AnimeAdvanced.com forums! Anyone with forum moderator experience is welcome to apply.
Editorial Team - The editorial team is responsible for, yes you guessed it, editorials. If you have experience in writing editorials, then we have a position for you. Good writing skills are not only very important, they are a MUST. You must be able to write in a professional and unbiased manner, have the correct mindset to have your work critiqued by other members of your team, ect. The editorialist is an important role of a site. As well as providing interesting reads and discussions on the industry, editorialists can write specials, voice opinions, ect. Definately not for the weak of heart.
If you feel that any of these positions are right for you, please send an e-mail to: vinny@animeadvanced.com.
We make an effort to answer ALL e-mails sent our way but sometimes an e-mail falls through the cracks or we're just really busy. If you don't get a reply to your first e-mail, by all means, resend the e-mail to us a second time. We do ask that you give us ample time to respond to your e-mails (2-3 days) before re-sending another to us.
*Please include your personal contact information (name, location, age, online contact information [e-mail, AIM name, ect.]) and any samples of your work, if possible. References are a plus but not necessary. Only serious applications will be considered. Incomplete applications will be discarded. Applying for a position with Anime Advanced does not guarantee employment. Anime Advanced is maintained by fans, for fans. We all do this because we love anime. We don't get paid but that's not why we're here. We're here because we enjoy doing it and we enjoy the benefits of it. Thank you very much for considering a position with www.animeadvanced.com
