I've been thinking a lot about Kirby Wii (or formerly, Kirby GC) lately. If you look on Google or Youtube you can see some nice pix/videos. I'm curious about what happened to it. What do you think? Is there a chance we'll see it at E3.

*yes, I like Kirby a lot*

Development hell? Normally when Nintendo stops talking about games, it's never a good sign.

I only played Kirby 64, but I loved that game. Becoming a fridge was pretty cool :D

The Game Cubist is dead right! When Nintendo stops talking about games it's mean it was canned like every other title out there they can. We have not seen a home console 3D Kirby in some time so I'd not put my hopes on it to high mate.

Then they should stop putting it on their yearly lists. :(

Also, HAL Laboratories has to be doing something, right? Something that I hope doesn't start with the word "Wii".

Yes because we all now "Super" worked so much better and was much, much more cool!

HAL labs probably put it on the back shelf when they starting crapping out endless Brain Age games into Nintendo's proverbial toilet bowl a while back. Last Kirby game on a console was Kirby's Air Ride (sorely underrated) in 2003, and I suppose it will continue to be the last for a good many years to come.

It keeps showing up on their lists, which convinces me that it might still be alive. Oh well.

What's Kirby Air Ride like?

Shame it went into development hell.

Since we're dumping on NOA for stupid crap with their franchises I just read the head of NOA, you know our favorite chiapet headed douche reggie has been keeping the Legend of Starfy out of the NOA markets because it was 'too japanese' for us to handle. NCL/TOSE have been fighting to get it here for awhile and kept emphasizing the desire to get shot down. This is in a direct interview with these 3 key makers of the title on nintendolife.com http://ds.nintendolife.com/news/2009/05/interviews_nintendotose_the_legendary_starfy

I still insist that this game, along with Super Paper Mario, where thrown together to be presented at E3 2005 just so Nintendo could state: "uh, look guys, we're still going to support the Nintendo GameCube. Check out these games in the small rear corner of our booth!"

That was, essentially, the last time the game was really heard of. As we all know, Super Paper Mario was moved over to the Wii, along with that lame Donkey Kong racer. This Kirby game has been MIA, and it's safe to say that it's never going to be released the form that we know it. Hell, it could have simply been stuff that HAL slopped together for the E3 presentation for all we know.

Rest assured there will be a new Kirby game sometime in the future for the Wii, but it probably won't have much to do with the GCN project.

I read about that. It's depressing because the cynic in me says it won't sell well at all here. Man, modern gamers suck. :(
