Any Star Wars, this is the place.

#3 is due for 2005, and I can't wait. I'm hoping the story finaly comes together in a way so that there are no huge gaps in the Clone Wars.

My theory that I developed a while back, was that maybe Lucas will do #3 in two parts. The first showing how Anakin steps into the dark side, and the second part showing the Jedi Purge carried out by Vader.

Of course, my theory is unlikely, but oh well, I can still hope.

I just hope we see at least a cameo of Boba Fett. Action would be nice, but unless my two part theory is correct, then Boba would still be two young to fit into the armor (unless he does possess an exelerated growth, despite what the Kamino people said)

And finaly, hope to see the Emporer whooping butt and takin' names. He's supposed to the most powerful...so let's see it! Hope he smears Yoda like a creamy booger.

And did anyone hear about the supposed release of the original trilogy on DVD? I thought it was already out on DVD...was I mistaken?

Episode III is going to be one movie, Lucas has confirmed it on the official site. Also, there are no plans to release the original trilogy, as Lucas believes the Special Editions are the "true" versions of the films. In my opinion, Lucas should have never altered the originals and never made the prequels. It should have ended with Return of the Jedi. The Phantom Menace was a disgrace and Attack of the Clones was only a tiny step higher. I hope Episode III is extremely well done, but I don't have high expectations.

First, I must tell you that Angry Liberal will come in here and start to complain about how Lucas has killed Star Wars, and stuff like that. ;)

I think Ep 3 will own. After reading some spoilers, I am hyped and sure this will out do Eps 1 & 2 by…..a lot... lol

Slight Spoilers...I'm mean really slight

Reports are saying Lucas is going all out, and it'll probably get PG-13 rating. And the duels are supposed to be the best in the SW universe.

/End of what can barely be called spoilers

I can't wait to see it at midnight again. :)

By original trilogy, I also meant the revised movies. There not the original versions, but still the original trilogy. I'm gotta get them anyway, even though I like the real versions.

Lucas can't really mess up SW's, cause it's his story! Unless of course, he admits he messed up, and he might do that sometime in the future.

I personaly think that AOTC should have been altered to be Ep.I, the prequels would focus more on the Clone Wars if I had a say in it...but I don't.

if this movie doesn't own I'm blocking the fact that Lucas ever made these, out of my mind.

Vader as we know and love him is only in the last 5 minutes of the film apparently (James Earl Jones doesn't have a large part). Most of it is still Anakin from Ep 2, sadly. Fett, played by Daniel Logan, isn't listed on the Star Wars website as being in the film at all, though I read that he's in it from one of the Ask the Council questions a while back, and something will happen with him to make him dislike Anakin. Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett) is in the cast list, though, which would mean either Boba grows up fast or ARC Troopers seen in the Clone Wars cartoons/comics (which are clones with only growth treatment, personally trained by Jango) might be used.

As for those who hated the previous films, when you first watched Phantom Menace on the big screen, did you hate it right off the bat or were you jaded from all the bad press and figured you'd be thought of as strange for liking it? If you get past Jar Jar's antics or Anakin's bad acting, is it still a bad movie? AOTC wasn't the best of the series, but it did have some good action and was geared towards getting fans back with the clone wars, Padme's exposed abs and tight-fitting/chest lifting outfits, and the Fetts (though methinks Lucas doesn't like Fett or the popularity he's had since even before Empire... MAJORLY POPULAR CHARACTER before Empire even premiers from the infamous rocket launching Fett figure, everybody loves the Eastwood-esque character, yet Lucas takes him out early and easily in Jedi. Brings him back in the new ones AS A CLONE (and any fan of Spider-Man comics can tell you that's an easy way to take down a character's popularity) and his "dad" gets taken out after a minute long battle with Mace Windu (though the scripted battle was way longer than the final cut, no pun intended). He's around in comics but the comics suck generally and aren't concrete in the Star Wars saga.)

I loved EPI and EPII... and personally I think that after EPIII the 1st 2 will be seen in a whole new light and will make more sense.

But that's just my opinion.

On a side note, Episode III advertising will start in January 2005, film will open May 2005, on DVD November 2005... that was where they announced the original trilogy (ANH, ESB, ROTJ) to be released September 2004.

They're even thinking about some television ideas (not including the 'Clonewars' animated series)

man, the first two made perfect sense, it's just that they were such underwhelming flicks. i think that lucas blew the original trilogy when the special editions came out, and that he basically told the fans to shove it.

episode three, i will go see, but my expectations are low.

all i have to say is that lucas better not fuck up the next indiana jones flick, or i'm going to have his fucking head on a platter. that old fuck.

I thought that the first two were alright. But you know what they were missing? They were missing Jim Hensons magical works of puppetry. I think that having all of these creatures computer animated just KILLS the feeling that the old movies had. Use some damn makeup for pete's sake. Like imagine if they did the Jaba's Palace scence from Jedi all over with more monsters...but the creatures were done on computers. It would royaly SUCK. Jim Hansen just added so much to those films. All the computer animated characters and horrible acting by both anakin characters from EPI&II really puts a sour taste in my mouth. If the princess wasn't so hot, I would smack some life into her acting because she is dull as HELL. In conclusion...BRING BACK THE YODA PUPPET CAUSE THE COMPUTER YODA BITES IT BAD!

And yes he best not mess up the new Indy movie...
I will be so pissed! Harrison Ford is gonna be the phatty macdaddy once again my friends! He's gonna "whip" some ass! haha! get it!? "WHIP" some ass HAHA...ha...ha...sorry

The first two movies in the six movie series were below par, for sure. The third one should contain plenty of action (hopefully) as it will most likely cover the Clone Wars. We should see a fight between Anikan and Obi Wan as well. And Palpatine should be revealed as the evil overlord who has been coniving these evil plots. I am not expecting anything too high and mighty out of it still, as Nathan-GCA stated.
