We all know these are the only two snacks worth eating, so which is best?
For those who vote chocolate: wrong.

Depends on which fries, but I'd take most of them over chocolate.

French fries all the way, although I try to avoid snacking on both. It's more like a "treat," imo a.k.a "don't look at me like that it's x week of the month."

Oh man french fries all the way regardless from where. Arby's, White Castle, BK, McD....yummmm.

French fries is the only acceptable answer.

You're all out of your Goddamned minds. Chocolate is infinitely better than french fries. The latter just make your mouth and fingers feel oily and leave you with feelings of regret. Chocolate tastes awesome and gives you an endorphin buzz! How could you choose anything else?

Chocolate by a mile. Can't say much more than Rensa did aside from maybe that there are thousands and thousands of types of chocolate in comparison to the one flavor of french fries: Greasy. :P

Notice that the key word being used here is 'snack'. I wouldn't classify chocolate as being a snack (excluding candy bars, because those aren't always made entirely of chocolate, like Oh Henry bars). Chocolate itself (ALL varieties) is more of a desert than anything.
That being said, I don't consume french fries enough to consider them a snack either. They are more of a side to a dish (McDonalds or Dairy Queen), as they always have been.
All THAT being said, my vote is towards french fries. Logically, they are the more pheasable choice to a snack food.

French Fries. Waffle Fries. Curly Fries. regular cut. Whatever. I love 'em.
Chocolate fails unless it's paired with something else. Caramel. Nougat. Cookies.
Plain? Screw that.
White chocolate on the other hand punches regular in the face.
Chocolate Ice Cream tastes like crap too, so it fails as well.

I would like to add something onto my original post: While chocolate pretty much blows ass compared to french fries, the white and dark varieties of chocolate have been known to rock my face off on many an occasion.

There used to be this french fry truck in Windsor Canada (next to Detroit). The guy would drive the truck around and it somehow had a deep fryer in it, and he hand-made french fries with sea salt and malt vinegar. I nearly moved to that city as a result. Best fries ever, and automatic French Fry Win.
But anyone who thinks they can say white chocolate tastes good, and get away with it, has another thing coming. White chocolate tastes like barf and anyone who likes it likes to eat barf. Barf eaters.

Your face tastes like barf! I should know!

White chocolate is the bomb. Not quite as good as milk, but it's damned delicious. Not so great in large quantities, though.

Let's put things in perspective fellas: Would you rather use french fry grease for foreplay or melted chocolate? The only good fries are from McDonald's.

That's the dumbest argument I've ever heard. If I had to use anything in in foreplay it would be gravy, but that doesn't make gravy a great snack.
Don't get me wrong. Gravy is a great snack, but just for different reasons.

For the first 30 seconds, yeah :P
From all the major burger joints, my favorites are from Burger King and the curlies from Jack in the Box. McDonalds fries are delicious when they're fresh and hot, but any time after that makes them inedible.

Are you telling me that you don't know what Texas Pete is? You are ignorant of the divine qualities of man's greatest condiment? Is that what you're saying?
And sweet potato fries are ass.

Thats chocolate's one redeeming quality and you know it, you deviant bastard.
Sweet Potato fries are FTW.
And honestly, if we wanted to be talking healthy snacks here, we'd have made a thread about carrot sticks and apple slices. But since that thread would blow chode, we're stuck with this much more awesome thread about foods that are actually kick ass.

Actually, Rensa, I do get thirsty when I eat chocolate. But that's more a desire for a glass of milk to complement it than anything. You actually need to drink something with fries, otherwise your throat will shrivel to nothing. Seriously.

^Pfft, only if you put salt on them.
And if you do, it's because the fries you have suck so you have to hide it with salt.

Sean, there is no variety of fry that tastes good without salt. I work in a fast food place and I've been to many more. I know this stuff. You have to have salt on your fries. If you think otherwise, you're a sick man. A very sick man. And a pervert and a communist, to boot. So there.

This is true, and it is the only flaw I can find with In 'N Out Burger. I need like two salt packets to get those things to flavor and blood pressure raising perfection.

My company actually did the website for Five Guys and my last company we did the IT and customer service for them. They actually should have a few in Cali opening up but they started here in VA and are actually part owned by a few former Redskins players. They are kinda expensive but it is worth it and they give u a bag of fries not just a lil cup full.

Yeah, Checkers is pretty good. They make the only burger that I prefer to have chili as a topping. I don't know what it is, but it just makes it better.
Haven't tried Five Guys yet, though I did apply there for a job once. Would have gotten it, too, except they were only hiring for mornings and I had class then.
You know who has great burgers? Cookout. Best burgers evar. Get a Big Double Tray with Chicken Nuggets & Hushpuppies with a Huge Tea, and put pickles and Texas Pete on your burger and barbecue sauce with the Nuggets and Hushpuppies, and you have a feast fit for a king. Ambrosia of the gods, my friends, ambrosia of the gods.
