Bitch about the 2008 GOTY Tourney Here

I'm warning everyone if you're not voting in Zeidan's Tourney take the convo elsewhere. I've just moved 4 posts to a new thread.

THE ONLY PERSON that determined the rules of this thread and when they have or have not been broken is ZEIDAN. Keep this on topic and stop trying to wreck this man's thread!

Are you refering to letting Karna vote, although she is not very active at all on this forum? I am sorry if you feel that was wrong, but I did ask before letting her vote. Although I would've wished (that Valkyrie Chronicles didn't have to battle LPB (That's just because I love them both :D), I think this tourney has been fair and a very good idea on Zeidans part.

I will however, not let Karna vote if you all feel she shouldn't. (I am not sure she will, as she didn't tell me what she felt about the finals when I told her about it yesterday.)

The last two votes from the Gears Of War 2 VS Fall Out 3 where cheating no matter what anyone says. There is also the issue of dummy accounts which made me not wish to even complete my personal top 100 Best thread because I now of peolpe doing stuff that was in fact cheating.


I don't agree with Monkeylord that anyone can come in and vote with a day one, first post, account by anymeans. My reason why is it destroys learning what Kombo's real GOTY choice is. If this was about fun and enjoyment as many have claimed then everyone would be playing fairly and none Kombo members wound not be getting to have a say. After all there not members of Kombo yet so this can't be Kombo GOTY because of that.

Also I call cheating on letting peoples votes count after the deadline even if it was by just a few minutes. GTA4 was going loss to Fall Out 3 if not for the cheap Auto win and new members cheating to get a vote! So screw this whole idea for all I care. Call it fun if you wish to but the enjoyment was taking because rules where broken and fails members who have not been a part of are forums and will not keep begin a part of this forum voted in a cheating manner! So there you have it, I call cheaters and your all going to live with my words there because I'm done with this thread! The last 2 votes of the Gears of War 2 vs Fallout 3 were made by staff of Kombo.

GTA4 never went up against Fallout 3.

Your Personal Top 100 is exactly what it says in the title, PERSONAL. I'm sure many could care less what your top 100 is.

I did not see any cheating really and could care less who votes for what whether it's a new person voting who doesn't feel like participating in threads because of cry babies like you or ones who get their brother to come on to vote for the game they want. You must really hate new people and I can't blame those who lurk from actually ever posting.

Stop taking this kind of stuff personal already. ZEIDAN has done a great job handling this project and did his best. He stuck to his guns, took the time out his own days to set up nicely so we could have a decent GOTY. I'm sure everyone will agree that no matter who wins, all the games listed were great and fun to play regardless of who takes what award. Like I already told you there was cheating going on GTA4 was going to loss to MGS4 but because someones vote came in minutes late the rules where broken. GTA4 is not Kombo GOTY because it rightfully lost to MGS4. Again your all cheaters live with it or play fair. Also never one time did I say ZEIDAN did a bad job but I'm personally disappoint that a deadline was passed and he let someones vote be cast. That's not how it work in government and it's not how I are members wished to play. In fact I clearly see I was ignored in voice of saying it was fun till cheating started a few rounds ago. The enjoyment of voters choice was taken away in the Gears of War 2 VS fall Out 3 round because two members voted who had not before. Clearly someone scrambled to get peolpe to vote and let the last two votes make it win by auto win. I also call cheating on this Auto win trash let the peolpe voice be hared and screw the auto win.

Now I'm in no way begin un civil about what i clearly have to say and I've had my opinion told. If no one else what’s to challenge that I'm done with the words your all cheaters. GTA4 would not be here if the rules where followed by the deadline like everyone else and every other round had to follow but it.

Like I said so many times, it DOES NOT matter to me (and I'm pretty sure many other people in this forum as well) who wins GOTY. Every single game listed was fantastic. Hell I'd take Little Big Planet as GOTY and I did not even enjoy it. Trying to "cheat" to make a certain game win is not in my books. I could honestly care less. The only person who really seems to care is you with your extreme hard on for Fallout 3 and your undying passion to make it win at all costs.

I also did not know this forum was a government and all votes were to be placed at the local municipality building in order to be cast. ZEIDAN did what he felt was necessary. I'm 100% if you handled this GOTY thread we'd have 15 RPGS in the running with Fallout 3 as the winner. You hate more than anyone else and you love more than anyone else. You fail to have any sort of balanced view on anything.

Member are peolpe who sign up and clearly have discussions with us and hang around. New members should not be allowed to voice because they can clearly be Kombo members makeing new accounts under changing IP Address devices! I'd rather hear what kombo think then someone who is new and just whats to vote only! I've had peolpe cheat in my own threads and polls before and now about it and I'm calling it cheating because it is.

I'm not talking about tie votes! I'm talking about how Kim Fiddler got his vote counted at midnight minutes after then deadline was to break a tie with GTA4 and MGS4. In truth the deadline should have been moved to a whole new day at hours that peolpe can vote to break the tie fairly. Counting his vote was cheating because it was cast after the deadline and no one was given a fair time to vote.

Fair balance is based on if Kombo (The Forums) gets it's voice heard. This thread was not made to for IGN, gamespot or anyone blow Joe it was made with the words Kombo's Game Of The year 2008 in mind! (Begin The forum GOTY choice clearly)!

Mike, I created the thread and I don't think anyone is confused by that. The thread will remain intact as long as you continue to act the way you have about the entire thing. You're responses in this thread have assured me I did the right thing.

Monkeylord had warned you a couple times in the other thread and I'm just trying to help you to NOT get in any trouble. You're free to tirade all over this thread just leave Zeidan's alone.

And to answer your question, please make your own tourney and I think people would come and vote, but acting out won't help.

I haven't managed to read all that you've written, but everything that I've read so far doesn't make any kind of reasonable claim against how I've handled things. The thing with Kim Fiddler's vote isn't even worth disputing since Gears of War won by two votes, not one.

You need to remember that this tourney thing is nothing more than a friendly community game; it has no real merit, it's not meant to represent anything major, it's meant for nothing but fun.

It could've had something to do with his own hypocrisy of having his own brother vote. His own brother who only posted once in the entire year of 2008 prior to the Game of the Year thread. His own brother who's only post in 2008 was in one of our podcast threads.

That sure is an active member.

Wasn't a real member by his own definition somebody who comes to these forums and engages in active conversation with us? Doesn't sound like a 'real member' to me.

Also, mind you, that this act which Mike has dubbed "Cheating" was committed by Mike and his brother before anyone else. That's right, before that one guy signed up and made one post (which wasn't counted in the vote anyway), and before Nismo's friend registered submitted his vote (which was counted).

Nismo's friend had 1 post in 2008 also. Thus making him as active (and more recently) than Mike's brother. His vote being counted did nothing more than cancel out Mike's brother's vote. Thus GTA still wins by 1 vote if these 2 aren't counted.

Mike's action of having his brother vote legitimizes any problem he would have with Nismo's friend voting. He can't have it both ways even though I know he wants to.

If we really wanted to get picky, I could've just had my roommate vote (who was more active than Mike's brother AND Nismo's friend COMBINED), and I'm sure there still would have been whining about it.

Basically he was crying foul over something he and his brother did FIRST.

That's why nobody cares.
