So..I need help getting rid of some Spy ware..

When I was trying to find a place to download that bittorent so I could watch that MK: DD clip, I downloaded it at the wrong place, and spy ware was installed with it. My dad noticed something was odd because I started to get a lot of pop-ups. Well, now I get about two or three pop-ups every three minutes or so. :( So I downloaded "Spy hunter", but all it did was find the spy ware, and not get rid of it. I got another one, but it's taking forever, and I don't think it'll remover the stuff either.

So I need your help. My dad went back to St. L, and I have no clue of what I should do.

Try Adware 6.0 I use it and it's really good. Finds the spyware and deletes the crap :)

I had the same sort of problem, except my computer kept on opening porn browser. It wasn't a bad thing for me :D but mum started going off at me accusing me of download porn. I tried ad-aware, different virus definitions and scanners, some trojan sniffer thing. Basically anything I thought would get rid of them.

Eventually I downloaded SpyBot - Search and Destroy. It picks up a lot of stuff that Ad-Aware misses. I know you said you had sorted out the problem but if it re-occurs download SpyBot and see if there is anything else it picks up.

I just got PC-Cillin (came with one of my computer components, probably the mobo) and it intercepts any spyware or adware and zaps it. I just turn off the firewall when I'm doing a file transfer or playing a game or something that gets slowed by it.

Lavasoft's Ad-aware is the best program I've used, but I've used only a few.
