Which electronic store is your favorite and why. If you select "other" write in that name as well.
I'm actually indifferent but like and dislike things about them both. I'd pick BB by a slim margin since there's generally more locations in places I frequent (and I travel the country BTW)

Of the two, I would have to say Best Buy, although it often does have slow service.

I like Circuit City coz it's smaller and more peaceful.

Despite there being few Circuit Cities in Canada (called The Source), I vote for them. Also, if you knew what really goes on behind the scenes of Best Buy (remember, I worked for FutureShop, a Best Buy company), you would puke.

Neither, I get everything cheaper online through newegg.com, buy.com, ebay, etc.
If I had to choose, I'd say Best Buy because I get the occasional hello from a worker and it's easier to find help and an open register.

I hate Circuit City: The Source. My experience with them has not been pleasant. Pushy sales men, poor selection and overpriced goods. Hell. No.
I like Best Buy/Future Shop alot better-essentially everything The Source isn't- although Blinger piques my interest...

Haha, well, Best Buy isn't as bad as I make it out to be. Sure, they have no commission on sales, but they still will eventually try to seal the deal on a laptop or something big.

Easy, Circuit City sucks balls. They have terrible customer service and are only concerned with making the sale, as their sales team is paid on commission. Best Buys now have Magnolia Hi-Fis inside of their stores which instantly puts their audio/video items ahead of CC's (higher-end technolgy). Also, CC's employees are NOT paid on commision, so even though not all of them know everything there is to know about audio/video, they are willing to try their best to find somebody who does. The ONLY problem with Best Buy is that they have that dreaded "restocking fee", otherwise they blow CC out of the farking water.
If there were still a Good Guys or even an Anderson's in my area I'd certainly go to one of those two first, but after that it's easily Best Buy. And this is coming from somebody who knows his audio/video pretty well.

I had this really weird sales rep once when i went into The Source ( Circuit City)...
He creeped me out with all of his weird jokes and stuff...
So i'd have to say Best Buy

Best Buy. More variety and locations, at least in my area.

BB wins on this one. The only fault they have for me is that it's loud in there and the lame restocking fee. CC only wins due to the no restocking fee and no questions asked on any return, and it's quiet so you don't need pills to go inside to dull the pain. So when it come to high dollar stuff (500+ range) it's CC unless BB has some insane deal on something that overshadows the restock fee in worst case scenario, and in general BB for anything else especially because they do random non-known sales at great values on top of the weekly ads.

Um, The Source sucks. Theyre tiny garbage stores in Canada. Im pretty sure its not the US chain, its just The Source by circuit city. The Source = Radio Shack.

I lol'ed. I kind of wanna go in one of their stores and tell their employees they work for a little garbage hut then leave. But that would be mean (yet seemingly very very satisfying) :(
What about bang & olufsen? That would be my choice.

Between the two Best Buy. I'm from Virginia, where Circuit City is based, they've really gone down hill. I usually can find anything in CC at Best Buy for cheaper and get better customer service to boot. Of course New Egg trumphs them both but given the fact that my roommate and I work the same schedule, New Egg isn't much of an option for me as neither of us will be here when the UPS guy arrives.

CC because you have a better chance of scoring some cheap ass games. Best Buy never really has any good clearances (at least by me).

I've never seen a Circuit City employee who could tell me more than I already knew coming in, and they usually get their facts wrong. Everything is overpriced, and the selection is awful.
I voted Best Buy because they are the best retail when I want to go pick something up on the spot, but I'll take Amazon over the lot of them any day for the free shipping and bottomless pit selection.

Circuit City has a terrible selection of games and the service so slow. I asked this girl to help me find if they had a game in stock and she goes on the computer on their website and starts searching manually through the 20 pages of games. I'm like "uh...you can search the title you know" and then she left and let me search for myself, which I'd already done online at home. And it was a clearance game so obviously it wasn't online.
I went to Best Buy to get Donkey Konga when it first came out and tried to price match to a Fry's ad. The ad showed only the boxart and the dumbass customer service reps told me it wasn't the same as the bundle with drums and the game. I then told her that's the only version they sold but I got rejected.
So basically, I hate both of them equally and only buy stuff at Best Buy because I tend to have gift cards there. But Amazon owns them both by leaps and bounds.

I think we can all agree that online stores beat both CC and BB in most if not all departments.

^ Nah, order online and pick-up in store equals the best scenario! I'm all about avoiding shipping charges since there's not many large electronics retailers that will let you avoid tax.
Not having to wait is a scenario that online shopping at e-tailers will never be able to trump until they do free overnight on every order.

That's true. Can't argue with that.:D
