I can't actually remember when I started work on this it was so long ago. I was originally saving it for a site related event that never happened, so I decided to sit on it until something special happened. I think the upcoming release of Mario & Sonic at the Olympics would count, so here it is.

This is part one of a two part article covering in depth what happened during the infamous "Battle of the 16-Bitters", Nintendo & Sega's blood feud--personally, my favorite era in gaming.

Lucas: You're an awesome writer. I love your articles. I read it all with great pleasure. I also learned more about both companies. I dind't know Sega were so old, or that Master System outsold the Nes in Europe. (Although more people ahd master systems among my friends than nes, I thought we were just strange in Norway or something.)
