I did for sure, its so great! What you all think of it? I know the IGN and GameSpot reviews were not the best. But, what you all think?
Me, I cant stop playing it... So, fun with 3 other friends!!! Even the single player modes are great.

I got it. I haven't played much, since I"m sick and would rather just sleep. But so far, I like. I'm sure I'll love it when I get to 100 cc.

Yeah, IGN and GameSpot's reviews weren't all that great at all. I haven't bought the game yet, but, I do plan on it soon.

My friends and I love the co-op mode. The fact that you have to depend on someone else makes victory that much sweeter.

i got it on november 17 because i preordered it and it is great! stupid ign and gamespot gave it low scores. it is worthy of 9 or higher. it gets fun when yoou get to 100cc! i also got the free bonus disc withj it and that also has a lot of cool games. i got my moneys worth already! i will play multiplayer today.

My dudes! How great is it? I'm waiting til next week to get mine, cause I already spent $50 this week on Jedi Academy. Is the single player really fun? And I ean really fun, cause it seems like Mario Kart 64 was 10 times better on Multi.
*not that I won't get it if it's like the 64 version, that game rocked!*

Just the battle mode maps are not half as good as Mario Kart 64 in my opinion.

I hope our opinions differ, cause I was hoping for an improvement regarding the battle maps.
How does the game play? Can you drive and shoot with one player, or do you need two?

I'm sorry, but I thought people knew this already.
You can play one player. You control both people on the kart. In two player, one person drives, the other shoots.

Mario Kart:Double Dash is da best mario kart game ever i just got it today. It just as great anticiapted i give this a big 10. Multiplayer is the best. Single playe is ok, and yes there are secret charatcers like toad, or toadeete some toad whos a girl versio of toad. And Secret Levels Like Lugi's Mansion from this site. Mario Kart is worth ur 50 bucks in fact i would pay 100 dollars thats how great mario kart is!

I've got it. It came out last Friday in Australia.
It's a great game from what i've played. I'm not the best at it lol. I can't seem to get the powersliding under control. I mean, I can powerslide around corners but I can never boost.
I've beaten all the cups on 50cc and 100cc and i've completed the first two cups on 150cc.
My most used combination of characters would have to be Toad and Toadette in the Blue Baby Cot. Before unlocking Toad I used to use Mario and Baby Luigi in Peaches Car. Strange eh? I find that Peaches Car has the best turning for it's speed. I also use Baby Mario and Baby Luigi in the Blue Baby Cot on occassions.
The thing that annoys me most is that a lot of the items don't do much. Mainly the red shells. I hit people with them and it doesn't seem to do much. They spin out, then like half a millisecond later they driving away. It just doesn't have the same firepower as it did in the previous Mario Karts. Also boost pads. They don't do much either. The first track (I think it's Luigi's Racecourse or something) has a few Boost pads on a hill type thing, and when I do use them, the people on the inside who don't beat me :|
My favourite track would have to be Donkey Kong's. You can't go past the Big Barrel in terms of awesomeness :D The track is quite hard too (compared to others). I also really like Daisy Cruiser. That track is great!
I have only managed to play two players, with my Neice who is no competition at all.

Europe and Australia got it last week.
I got the game Monday. It is a lot of fun.

I got a shirt in the mail a couple of months ago form Ken that had Mario Kart Double Dash on it. As a matter of fact, I'm wearing it now.

Yeah lol I couldn't believe it myself. I mean we usually wait a few months after the U.S release date for a game to be released, but recently the gap between a U.S and Aussie release for Nintendo's first party titles has been getting smaller and smaller.
Third party titles though is a different story. If I remember correctly there was a nine or so month wait for Wrestlemania X8 to be released out here.
It seems to be for GCN only too...there might be a weeks different for Xbox or PS2 titles :S
It's a bit of a lose-lose situation here, the games get released a few months later, then when they do come out they are in very limited stock, and in Skies of Arcadia Legends case they only ship one small shipment of games, and then discontinue it. Or they release conversions that are half-arsed. Like Animal Crossing, which still has all the American lingo and Festivities and seasons etc.

Does anyone know if there are more tracks to unlock after the Special Cup? I know there is another cup to unlock which is all the cups in one, but are there anymore levels?

I've had it since last Thursday, love it! Have clocked up over 30 hours on it and my fave characters are Yoshi and Baby Bowser.

Yeah, and even when the GCN games come out here their is zero ads. I haven't seen not even one GCN ad here :eek:

Nope it's not. It took me ages just to beat the first two cups on 150cc. I can't complete the last cup or Special Cup on 150cc. I'll try to finish it tonight, but I don't like my chances.

A very fun game indeed, I've been enjoying it since this past tuesday..... and all I can say is Multiplayer is awesome. Nothing better than playing 4 player battle mode!!!
We've been switching between MK:DD and Halo, but we've been getting a little more MK:DD action going on.

Is there like a secret mode or an extra mode to make everyone in the game have a single rider in the karts, like the Older games?
:confused: I was wondering about this for so long but from the looks of it there are no unlockable modes for this. It would have so much replay value with that option.
