:( I just saw the last episode of Cowboy Bebop, one of my favorite anime's, for the first time on cartoon network, the credits haven't even stopped. Oh man you guys, it was so great. These two shows are quintessential for anime fans, or anyone who has even so much as a rowsing interest in anime.
I don't think I've seen either series in their entirety, but I've seen most of both. Now, that includes both last episodes.
I do have a question though, what happened to Ed? I mean, I didn't see her in the last Bebop, and I was just wondering, because I liked her a lot.
Anyway, these two shows were both created by the same people, are there any others by the same people?

I loved both of those series on Adult Swim. As a matter of fact I'm anxiously awaiting Cowboy Bebop and FLCL, since I just bought both. I'm getting angry though. I sent my money order first-class certified mail (which costs $4.42) last Monday and it still hasn't gotten there. If the USPS lost $103.93 of my money, I might be a little aggravated.

Cowboy Bepop is a fine series..and I was also sad with how it ended...but for sure it's not a fav.....
I did like Faye though....
And Trigun....now that's a really good anime..despite I hate the animation sometimes...but in all it's a must for anyones collection...if..you like anime that is...

FLCL - pure craziness - enjoy the wackiness - and don't give up. Be patient on the series... youll love it.

That was by the same person? I love that series, but isn't it like 6 episodes or something? The craziness is the best part. --~

I thought Trigun was good untill it got to the end of it, which I though was really weak (frickin' TREES!!!!)
Bebop on the other hand is a great show (great film too) with a great end. The Version on TV is slightly edited, but not enough to really anoy.
Ed is based on the shows Composer, Muscial Genious Yoko Kano, by the way.
Oh, and both the shows are made by totally different people.
Trigun:
Directed by
Satoshi Nishimura
Produced by:
SHONEN GAHO-SHA, TOKUMA SHOTEN, JVC
Writen by:
Yôsuke Kuroda (writer)
Yasuhiro Nightow (story)
Bebop:
Directed by
Shinichirô Watanabe
Produced by:
Sunrise
Writen by: (in alphabetical order)
Akihiko Inari, Sadayuki Murai, Keiko Nobumoto, Dai Sato, Shinichirô Watanabe, Ryota Yamaguchi, Michiko Yokote.
And the Englis version was written by Marc Handler
So, as you can see, the two series have absolutly nothing to do with each other.

Are you ******* serious? I've always heard that they were... damn, that's pretty crazy. --~
EDIT: By the way, is there a Trigun movie? I doubt it. The CB movie was great! --~

I have both on DVD and Outlaw Star too. All three are frickin' great. Outlaw Star unedited is WAY better uncut, trust me.
But since we're not talking about Outlaw Star, I'd have to say Bebop is my favorite anime of all time.

I saw the end of Cowboy bebop and the movie sometime last year, they rocked hard. Yoko Kanno is absolutely magnificent, I have one or two of her CDs. "Gotta Knock A little Harder" is quite possibly my favourite track ever.
Trigun... I saw the end last month. Pretty damn good, I thought -not as much as CB, but still a wicked series. :]
I hear FLCL's great too, I really want to see it - I just need to convince my friend to buy it; he's sort of the guy who works 20 hours a week on top of school and then buys every single anime DVD, but he doesn't like the look of it. I need to see it! :'(

It's really funny. I don't think I've seen them all, but there's only a few episodes if I'm not mistaken.
Who is Yoko Kanno? --~

Clicky here (http://www.animeacademy.com/profiles/Kanno_Yoko/profile.html). Great site for reviews and Anime info in general, but the content is limited. Says something about how renowned Yoko is :D. Peace --~

wow, grave of the fireflies should be 100% =X Love Hina and Evangelion should be in the 90's.. and RahXephon and Noir has ridiculously high scores for such a extremely slow beginning.. hmm pretty good site ;x
muahahehe!! i'm such a critic =D
edit: and yoko kanno is a music composer.. and oh my, if you watched Escaflowne.. you'll be in instrumental heaven.. download 'Yoko Kanno - Dance of the Curse' ;]

Heh, yeah, animeacademy (AA) is pretty good, and I know what you mean about the rating guide. I use ANN (you all should know what this is... *sigh*) (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com) instead, rely on peoples' votes. Much better judge of quality. AA is very criticle, and imo, heavily side on older classics as the pinnacles of Anime. If you want a really bad score, check Onegai Teacher. Kain is a prick, and that review was the cause of my being banned from their forums 3-4 years ago (can't remember exactly). They don't take kindly to any critques on their scores unless it meets their standards, which are rediculously complicated and over-the-top. If you do go through the trouble to do that, they never, and I mean NEVER change their opinions. It's more like "Ok, you prove a valid point, won't change anything" or "You're wrong, because I'm right, go back to the hole you live in". I like to refer to Kain as the Stalin of AA, and most of his other lackeys the KGB (mods) or slime of the Kremlin (other reviewers). But that's just me...
If you happen to cross swords with any of them, don't hesitate to mention me. Kuzu Ryu Sen is a good friend of mine that still hangs around there, might get you out of some mod troubles if they come up. I'm still mad at AA, but until I become far more 1337 in my h4xx0r abilities, there's little I can do. That's all for now kiddies, I'm out. Peace --~

interesting.. so you have been owned by AA for disagreeing on a review.. tsk tsk meanies indeed? ;x i've never watched onegai teacher so i wouldn't know, but anyway, they have a good level of accuracy on most of the anime that i've watched.. so i wouldn't say AA is cruel as far i know.. poor you ;)

Heh, yeah. But after knowing them for as long as I have now, you realize how little they change and how quickly they convert the new members into more old laddies. It's like an old granny bridge-club of neo-nazi rules. If they ever go under, I'll personally congratulate the host/hacker that put them under. No love is lost between them and me, that's for sure... But I'd suggest you to watch OT just to get an idea of why I have my opinion. Ugh, can't type anymore, eating an entire chocolat bunny at 3 o'clock caused stomach ulcers or something as vile... gurgliness not good... :(

Vir, you do know that the companies are colossal douche bags with regards to disc sales, right? Hell, we'll likely never see a local release of Macross Frontier, and even the Japanese Blu-ray only comes with 2.0 Stereo! Don't even get me going on some other releases, like RideBack. That show is really good, but the Blu-rays only come with 2 episodes per disc. That's insane, and a gross waste of disc space.
Old series, yes, anyone and everyone should be able to buy an official slim-pack release. But the new stuff? GTFO!
Also, something should be said about reviving a 5 year old thread k thanks.

I agree rogue.. especially when companies release dvd's with 4 episodes for 20$.. screw that.
