View Full Version : My Bizarre Theory about Spongebob

Well... I think he's gay. I mean, think about how he's always praising Squidward... like in one episode, Spongebob sees on a dumpster "Squidward Smells." So he changes it to "Squidward Smells Good." And on the Valentine's Day episode, Patrick is his valentine. Doesn't that seem kind of gay to you guys? Not to mention you never see him talking about some girl or anything. It's almost like he is gay. If Nick ever cancels it and they move it to SpikeTV, do you guys think he'll take the same route as Ren and Stimpy?

No, they aren't. And I mean talking about some girl like "God, she's sooo hot" or "I love her." I didn't mean he doesn't talk to girls.

i think that the real question is...why do you care? i think it's very fitting that they're androgenous characters. all i know is that spongebob's quite funny, and it will be a sad day when it no longer comes on anymore, much like when ren and stimpy or beavis and butthead got cancelled.

Yeah, I think he’s gay. Very gay……oh…wait….you mean…oh no..I don't think he's gay, I think he's just stupid.....but anyways, I was watching it today....oh, how I love that show....

Whoever thought of SpongeBob needs to be shot.

J/k, I find some parts funny, but most of it is annoying. I bet it made Nick a whole lot of money though, judging by the amount of SBSP "merch" that decorates the more feminine lockers of my school.

SpongeBob is like Rocko for a younger audience. They got rid of the (most) adult humor, but they kept some of the disturbing expresions and stuff (i think the guy that made rock made Spongebob)

Yeah you're right koten, I read somewhere that Stephen Hillenburgh, the guy who created SpongeBob worked on Rocko, he wasn't the creator, but he worked on the show.

Meh, Spongebob is monotonous and doesn't make me laugh too much. All this senseless humour like Ren & Stimpy and Beavis & Buthead never really appealed to me. Some of R&S was funny, most was kinda stupid. B&B was pretty good, but felt more like the times me and friends have nothing to do and sit around thinking of something to do. I maintain that watching TV nowadays is useless. Only thing worth watching is Comedy, Space, Discovery and TLC (not the trading spaces hours, dear god...). TBS is pretty good for the movies, and SpikeTV is a mix of SpeedVision and Comedy (thus, all good). When I ever go to the states, just subtract all the channels I named that aren't in the states, and that's the list for the states. And one final comment: CSI kicks SO much ass. ,,|,,^^ @ Boon.

I don't think Spongebob is mature enough to love a girl.

I thought it was Mike Judge's decision to end the show so he could focus on King of the Hill?

Don't dis Spongebob... It's not my favorit show ever, but it is one of the better ones on NICK (don't get me started on Hey Arnold or Wild Thornberrys)

I think it's overrated. I mean, watching a sponge be an idiot isn't exactly how I'd want to spend my Saturday mornings, weekday afternoons, and nights.
