How many of you have seen Ranma 1/2? It is probably one of the best animes I have ever seen (and not cause of the boobs). It is really funny, and well dubbed, which is strange...

Dude, Ranma is the f*cking show man. I love it. It's so hilarious! Made by the same people as Inuyasha, which I aslo like, but not as much. I've seen a lot of them, I don't think that I've seen them all though, no, I know that I haven't.
If you haven't seen this show, DEFINITELY check it out. --~

Yesterday (Tues 10th feb) I recieved in the post my new Ranma collection :D
Ranma was never released in the UK and isn't available on DVD or VHS. I first came across it when I managed to get a Ranma SNES game.
I've managed to download a couple of the Japanese Subbed episodes from the internet and loved it so much I seeked it out on eBay. Managed to find a guy selling boxsets of all 7 tv series, all unused and still shrinkwrapped for £85 ($158 USD) which is an incredible bargain in anyones book!
I managed to watch all of series one last night - which took me from 19:30 to 01:30 (all in all it would take 2.78 days to watch all 161 episodes back to back!). I just hope I can get hold of the OAV's and movies at as good a price! - I have that disease where you have to have the whole set of any DVD you buy, lol.

You should do what I did and check eBay... by doing that I managed to avoid having to pay £50+ per boxset and having to wait for them to get sent from another country... £85 for ALL 7 SERIES (a whopping 20 DVD's) and delivered next day is a superb bargain - and they were all shrinkwrapped and untouched - factory fresh, lol.
It's a fantastic series, and I recommend it to anyone. Very funny! I'm about 1/2way through series 2 so far :D

I've been in contact with the guy who sold me the Ranma boxsets and for a mere £30 ($56.50 USD) he's gonna send me a boxset of all 12 Ranma OVA's* plus the 1st Ranma movie :D That INCLUDES next day delivery!!! I'm quite chuffed 'cos all I'll have to do is get hold of the 2nd movie and I'll have a complete collection on DVD!!!
He also ships to the States, but obviously shipping will not be next day and will cost slightly more. They're region free and NTSC only.
:D :D :D :D
*OVA = Original Video Animation (basically, they're straight-to-video ONLY episodes)
*EDIT*
Gottem... just need the 1st movie now and I'll have the complete set :D

I've now almost seen the whole lot... every episode, and one of the movies. It's a fantastic series. I love it because it's so bizarre. The characters are all really likable, and the situations (Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics Match!?!) they find themselves in are just freaky! It's hard not to enjoy it! A few episodes move along slowly, but on the whole it's a fast paced, bizarre freaky action-comedy.

I never, in a million years, would have guessed that someone with the user name Ranma would like Ranma 1/2. Everyday you learn a lesson. --~
