I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with Troma, I just joined =P

Troma is a..well, B-movie company. They make some of the coolest gore-ridden films you could see. Sure, the acting isn't the best and some of the sound is strange (some voice-overs sound terrible)

Troma's best known for The Toxic Avenger (Which happens to be my favorite movie). It's about a nerdy janitor who falls into toxic waste, turning him into a hideously deformed human of super-size and strength.

Sound cool yet? No? Well, he actually becomes a crime-fighting superhero throughout 4 movies to date (the 4th released in 2002).

What is really awesome about the series is that he gets rid of evil doers in the most violent ways possible. Whether it's gouging a crossdressing man's eyes out, then cracking his head open...or maybe just shoving a man's hands into a video rewinder and grinding them down to the bone.

Yep. And did I mention he has a sexy girlfriend? Well he does. Except she's blind =D

Anyways, if you haven't seen the Toxic Avenger movies, and/or looking for something chocked full of gore, nudity, and hilarity, then check any of them out (1st is the best!)

Welcome to the forums --~

Anyways, I'm sure you could name ANY movie ever made and there would be atleast one person here who has heard of it (or atleast claims to). As for Troma films, im sure their are atleast a few big-Tromatics here

i like troma, but man, some of them are so bad that they're not even enjoyable...like sgt. kabuki man, that was just bad.

i LOVE the toxic avenger movies, though. and also tromeo and juliet, which isn't all that bad when i look back on it.

Aww...I think Sgt. Kabukiman rocks! I haven't seen the full thing though, so maybe that's why.

Tromeo and Juliet was strange, but a classic none of the less.

But it's cool I'm not alone on this :D

"Red Neck Zombies" all the way. Actually, that just the most recent that I've seen. I want to see Tromeo and Juliet really bad. --~

I've never seen Redneck Zombies to be honest, I want to though.

But Troma films are hard to come by around here--gotta order 'em online.

usually they have a good stock of them at hollywood video (that's a national chain, so i don't know if you've got it or not)...

anyways, mcbizzel said that redneck zombies was almost complete shite, and on top of that boring, which sucks, b/c the cover made it look SOOO good. ...well, not really, but you get the idea.

It was HORRID, but that's what makes it good you know? Terrible acting, laughable plot, but looking back on it, that's what makes it so good. --~

There IS a Hollywood Video around here...I'll have to go check it out.

I want to see Citizen Toxie very badly. And Terror Firmer, I hear that's really good.

Whoo hoo!

At Troma's online store (store.troma.com) they have two very big sales of DVDs.

They range from $4.99 (WHOA!) to around 14.

I'm going to be picking up the best titles, Class of Nuke 'em High (8 bucks, good price), Tromeo & Juliet, and probably a few others.

Too bad Redneck Zombies and Citizen Toxie are sold out, they have unbelievable prices on them :(
