I mean really.. if you owned a Playstation, chances are you've already played the original Metal Gear: Solid - AWESOME game, really great.

Unfortunately, if you're like me, you decided to go from the PSOne to the GameCube in hopes that the GC would pick up Metal Gear 3. Instead they poured money into a total remake of a game millions of people have already enjoyed and beat - and truthfully I don't even think it looks that great compared to MG3 for other consoles.

Are you going to pick up Twin Snakes and if so, did you play the original?

Funny, I always thought your odds of having played the original Metal Gear would have been even better had you owned a NES... Oh, your talking about the 6th Metal Gear, Metal Gear: Solid.

T'heh, call me funny, but Snake Eater looks to me to be veering off into Rambo country. Not that Rambo is a bad thing, but it is a bad thing for a Metal Gear game.

jamesc359, I dont think you should be cracking on Snake Eater. People complained about Sons Of Liberty being a to complicated and wacky game. Snake Eater is by far the most simple and good looking MG ive seen yet. It looks like Rambo? Didint the NES ones?

I'm liking the look for MGS TS as i loved the original. And for the record Sons of Liberty wasn't too complicated, it was just shite.

Ack I thought you meant an extra scene.. I don't much care for more gore or even a graphical update.. I really want to experience something that I didn't before the first time. Argh, stupid Nintendo!

All the scenes in Twin Snakes are redone, so yeh.....

I'm buying it soley for the purpose that I LOVE Metal Gear Solid 1, and 2.

About MGS2: Sure, Raiden is a bad character, he's whiney, he looks wacky, and the game doesn't have a whole lot of Snake involved.

The story was awesome, from the start to the end....IMO. I like intriguing storylines like these, and I sure do like plot twists.

I can't believe anyone who has played the psOne Metal Gear Solid game would NOT want this game. I loved MGS, and the fact that they are redoing is INCREDIBLE. MGS 2 was ok, I wasn't too fond of Raiden, but who was? As far as story goes in MGS2 it was pretty good until the end Otacon crap. I'm also looking forward to MGS3, but i'm VERY IMPRESSED with how far MGS:TS is looking and coming along.....

You guys/gals also forget that MGS:TS was suppose to come out this november as was delayed... there is a chance that they took this time off to add in the VR Missions..... you never know.

If any of you have seen the trailer that came out a little over a month ago, then you know this game looks sweet. I think I watched that trailer at least 14 times. One of the best trailers ever IMO. ;)

I am going to blindly buy this game and hope i like it. I know all of the reviewers will love it and i have great respect for SK, but i was didnt love mgs2 and have only played the NES original

Some of the screenshots look like the Dreamcast could have pulled it off. I wasn't at all impressed with the way it looks - I am drooling looking at MGS3 but the screenshots I've seen look ho-hum. Well at least they won't have jaggies.

I doubt seriously the dreamcast could pull off these graphics highly... It's looking better than MGS2 for the ps2. Metal Gear Solid was one of those breakthrough titles when it was released back on the psOne. I'm very much looking forward to reliving this game IMO it's so much better than MGS2.

But don't get me wrong, I've got high hopes for MGS3 .. I just don't hope it lets me down like MGS2 did (even though it is a good game).

I like what "Nosreplive" said. But, MGS3 will be great. It's taking the more simplicity and snake gameplay we all know that made MGS so great. Trust me, I have never been wrong about a game. This will be almost just as good as MGS, could even be better.

I've never played the ps one game for more than 10 min. I think i'll be getting this one when it's released next year. Looks cool, I liked E.D. by S.K. So ya, I'll pick this one up, it looks kick ass.

If you looked closely Psycho Mantis is in the background.. you following me so far.. good .. do you remember all the mind tricks that Psycho Mantis plays on you in the original MGS? Well I don't remember him ever playing a mind trick on you where he torched you? This only means one thing .. they've changed all the MIND TRICKS he plays on you, and even perhaps the way to beat him.... OH OH ... this is gonna be good. Very good!

This game can't come out SOON enough.
