I've hired this movie once, and all I could say was "wow" Best anime movie I've seen in a long time.

Other films by Miyazaki (sp?) include Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky. There are more such as My Neighbor Totorro and Kiki's delivery sevice, but I've only seen the first two. I reccomend them to anybody. I personally liked them much more than Spirited Away, and I LOVED Spirited Away.

i've seen all of miyazaki's films that have been released in the states, and princess mononoke is a fabulous film, but i really believe that spirited away is more magical...in a sense that it really gets into the spirit of living life...

I just bought My Neighbour Totoro here in Korea, it's an amazing movie. Right on par with Spirited Away. Monoke Hime and Kiki's Delivery Service also highly recommended :)

Miyazaki is god. There's alot of parallels between Miyazaki films and Nintendo (IE both make magical products with broad appeal but are often put into the 'kiddy' category and often lose mainstream appeal / respect).

Now, if only Miyazaki and Miyamoto got together... The best gameplay and the most magical incredible worlds / characters and story :)

We've had a few disscussions about this over at PGC. It all started with the fact that the forest creatures in Princess Mononoke (their name escapes me) look almost identical to the koroks in wind waker.

How is Kiki's delivery service anyway? I wanted to watch it but I didn't know if it was worht my time. But heck, it's a Miyazaki film so I don't see how it couldn't be. But it gradually fell off my radar untill a couple days ago. What's it like?

Kiki is really cool. Just below Tonari Totoro and Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (spirited away), but better than Laputa (castle in the Sky) which is pretty bad for a Miyazaki film (which means its still pretty good).
Almost all Miyazaki's films revolve around a young female protagonist who has just arived in a new place, but all have a very unique feel to them. Can't remember the name of the new one he's working on at the moment, but it looks really cool, about demons or some such.

Most vommiting creatures in an animated film ever? What more could you ask for? Yeah, Spirited Away was an excelent film, great music, animation, characters, and a story that pulld you in and doesn't let go. I'll have to see more of Miyazaki's films.
