I've bought an XBox... should arrive by Tues. There's nothing wrong with owning a non-Nintendo system, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!

In fact, buying a non-nintendo system is great! If you have two peices of hardware you open yourself up to more variety and enjoyability. With 2 peices of hardware, the only games you cant get are exclusives for the console you dont have. In all honesty, owning two systems is usually for the best.

You can apologize in six months when your Ps2 breaks and you have to buy another one ;)

i'd have you know prof, that i've owned my PS2 since the year it came out, and every piece of it still works, even the "shitty" dvd player the guy in EB told everyone thinking about buying one would break in a year..."b/c that's the life of it's dvd player".
i hate people. congratulations on your purchase of the world's greatest game console...or at least the one with the best games.
I had my PS2 before my GCN, and I enjoyed it. 2 consoles are enogh for me :)

Owning three is definately the best.
That way, you can play KOTOR, TWW, and MGS2: Sub. back to back to back!
Well KOTOR is not exclusive to X-BOX. Most good games on the X-BOX usually go to the PC so MS can make more $.

Well, most of the time, people either play games on the PC or on a console, rarely both, but there are exceptions.
anyways, im hoping to sweet god that subway will accept me into their family, then im getting an xbox, system link cable, Halo, and two copies of Return To Castle Wolfenstein..... oh yeah, and a TV..... DAMN! i keep forgetting about that dang TV.
and im starting to dislike you sam ;) j/k smartass.

No need to ask for forgiveness, in fact Nintendo is probably happy you got a PS2, this way once you find out how crappy it is they will know you will get an N5 instead of taking a risk with another Sony console. :p Owning all three would be the best though and a good PC.

Yeah, owning other systems is not bad. Like someone already said, it broadens your horizon. Open minds are the greatest minds.
Although, the only top notch games I've played on Box are Halo and Star Wars:Jedi Academy (only cause I'm a huge SW fan)

Silliw, is the online function of Jedi Academy fun? what do you do online in that game anyways?

No, it's a good game. Especialy since it's an Activision game, and I think they produce pretty decent stuff. The game has a story and everything, and the single player is hella fun. Just imagine storming the building of an Imperial remnant group full of Stormtroopers who are blasting away at you, and you run through them in classic SW style, deflecting their shots and severing their arms/heads. And if you feel the need to be extra mean, you can force grip one and slam the poor sap into his buddies...then when your done, toss him off a ledge and hear him scream all the way down. Or fry them all with lightning.
Online is hella fun, although a lot of people can be damn annoying by using excessive lightning and taking advantages of glitches. But still, it's damn fun. Deathmatch, CTF, Team Deathmatch, Saber Duel, Saber Pwr Duel (think 2 on 1, like the end of Ep I), and even a Siege mode...where you side with either the Imperials, the Rebels, the Jedis, or the Cult of Ragnos to complete objectives while the opposing team stops you. I love being Boba Fett in Siege...swoop down via jet pack and blast some Jedi smuck.
Awesome game, but if your not a SW fan, you might just find it too awckward. At least give it a try.

what the hell does being a star wars fan have to do with finding a game good or bad? bad games are bad games...and lucas arts (and subsequently, activision) aren't exactly known for making thoroughly good games...in fact, many of them have downright sucked ass. i'm a big star wars fan, and i've found most of the games (with the exception of the rogue squadron series and shadow of the empire) to be very, very bad, regardless of whether i'm a fan or not. if gameplay sucks, if graphics suck, if the story sucks, i'm not into it...plain and simple.

This game has gotten quite a few good reviews. Its the top 3 of good star wars games.... kinda. Rogue Squadron, KOTOR, and this.
I think I will give this game a try.

Have you played KOTOR. That's a pretty cool game.

yeah, but ive been a n-fan ever since i first played one of their systems, sega and nintendo were bothcompetent companies, so i got genesis and super nintendo,, But playstation 2 sucks extreme crap, and takes forever to load, and this gen is where nintendo needs me not to buy one, because their behind the sales race. Ps2 is great if youre a casual bast*rd gamer, but im obsessed with games, and i dont want to look like a mainstream casualbast*rdgamer, with my ps2, i would never buy one, i got one for christmas, and it sucks a** even more then i expected,

Didn't say finding it good or bad, if you carefully read the post above yours, I said a non-SW fan might find it awkward(sp), seeing as tI know how the game play is. Swinging the lightsaber takes getting used to, and anyone who knows about lightsaber would know that the most effective way to attack with one is with diagonal attacks that arch out and strike a number of enemies, instead of a quick foward slash leaving you open to blaster attacks from the side and back area. The vehicles can also be strange, because of the way a Speeder bike drives or the way an ATST walks around, it would be simpler, imo, the know how these things move in order to replicate that in the game.

no, blablamax, you'll buy it so you can get LIVE and Mechassault so i can womp you and yell at you.
If FFXII comes out for PS2, I might get one for that, FFX, and a few other games.
There's only a few really good games for the PS2.That's why I have the PS2 and GCN :D
